I did this on I-10 between Palm Springs and Phoenix 110 indicated on the GPS, Speedo showed 120. There were people passing me like I was standing still(probably over 150)!

I think the turbos are limited to 130 by the computer, the 2.0's will get to around 120 if you wait long enough and have no limiter.

Speed is fun, but use discretion and caution when stretching your legs on a nice stretch of road.

I've been north of 100 plenty of times, on the street and on the track. The fastest I've ever been in my car was an indicated 130mph on my way to Lime Rock early in the morning. She was still pulling too, but I backed off after 130.

The fastest I've ever been in an automobile was an estimated 185mph as a passenger in Bill Rudtner's 935-look racecar @ Pocono. Brutal is the word to describe the accelleration of that car. We were passing cars that were doing an easy 140-150mph.

There is nothing like the feeling of speed and the rush you get from it. It's very addicting.

Top speed for me was 120. I could have gone faster but I had to back off because of traffic Cruising speed is normally about 85-95 but nightime is slower. I don't want to hit a deer or a fox.

Fastest I've ever driven my beetle is 85. I know, I'm a wimp. Hubby got it up to 95mph before I made him slow down.
