bug back on road

i'm finally getting a new battery for the beetle bug tomorrow morning. he's been sitting in the driveway for a week now. the battery isn't totally dead, thank goodness. already found the radio code in the trunk since i don't have the code in the manual. just praying that nothing else goes wrong, hopefully don't have to reset anything. i'll be logged on to newbeetle.org for instructions, hopefully it won't be snafu. cannot wait to get the roads hot again and blast with the beastie boys. l ve my little bug. even though it's been problem after problem with the car, it is by far my fave!

finally got the new battery in today, took beetle bug for a spin, oh yeah, first we found out we had purchased the wrong battery, according to the walmart computer, it was the right battery for the car-darn thang wouldn't fit it the car. had to take it back, get a refund after standing in line for 30 minutes, then i was told to take it back to the auto department and stand in line for another 20 minutes. then they had to check the battery to see if it was charged-just bought it Thursday night, had both receipts. by then i was an unhappy camper. i told the clerk, no, i was not going back up front to stand in line for another 30 minutes, she gave me my money, and i happily got the heck outta there. gee whiz.
then, we went to o'reilly's auto parts and purchased a battery. when hubby first put battery in, he realized he had the velcro-laden cover on upside down, so he had to unhook the battery again, take it out, blah, blah....finally got it on the road, didn't have to reset the windows, radio, or clock/temperature thingy. runs like a dream. gonna give him a bath tomorrow!
