Angry the only triple white in town

Ok here is the deal. In 2004 I bought the Satellite Blue NB because I loved the look, the color and the wheels. Just everything about it was COOL. The best was that I had the only one in the town I live in. I had no desire to get a new one untill I was at the dealers for some warrenty work and saw the triple white. Just had to have it!! The dealer told me that it was the only one they would get because just like my blue one it was a special edition and they only made 3000. We do not have a dealership in town. The closest dealer is 45 miles from where I live. The only reason I went ahead with the trade was because I knew that once again I would have the only one in town. Had mine for about one month when I saw another one in town with my dealers sale tag in the window. Since then I have seen another one also with my dealers tag in the window. Now there are three total in our town and even though I love my new car I wish I would have kept my blue one and still would have been the only one in town!!

Thats pretty amazing....I saw my first triple white yesterday, aside from mine...but i saw it in manhattan. I dont really have to worry about bumping into that one again. hehe I know the dealers here had a VERY hard time moving them. In fact, many shipped theirs elsewhere cause they werent selling around here.

Default ghost flames

Your right. I have been thinking about some purple and teal ghost flames. If so it will be off the front fenders just half way along the doors. Not sure yet.

I had a blue 2003 that was also a one of a kind, with red white and blue flames. I loved that bug. But as you I
got the new TW, I like it but dont love it like my blue
bug. The two things I do like the most are that its an
auto and it being a conv. My colors for this new bug
are red white and black. I am going to have something,
small graphics or pinstripping on the side and I also
got a black boot cover I have the white boot cover
but I like the black better. The car looks cool with its
black bra and the black boot cover. The inside I want
pinstriping on the dash and a black dash mat with red
trim. I got black floor mats with a red stripe. So far that
all. I hope all of us who have a TW do something to them to
make them our own. We will have to post pictures as we do
our TW mods.

I'm just surprised there are 3 NBCs in Wyoming!

Wyoming is beautiful--it would be awesome to cruise around in a droptop out there.

Stealerships with tell you anything to make you feel like you're getting a special car, a great deal, or whatever tactic to seal the deal. Even if you live in a small town with the nearest dealer being 100 miles away, they will do what it takes to make a sale.

I found Bebe in an Autotrader ad listed by the dealer for $15,990 (2004 NB 1.8T, 26K miles) When my husband and I got to the dealer, she was sitting in front of the showroom in between 2 shiny new '07s. There was a sign hanging from her rearview mirror listing $19,475 and that it was "Certified Pre Owned". The salesman told me the Autotrader ad was an "internet special" (good thing I had printed the ad and brought it in). She had some nasty scratches on the bottom of the front bumper (probably careless parking scrapes, a nasty gouge in the paint on the passenger side mirror and a centercap was missing. Additionally, when we test drove her, the rotors were horribly warped. We came to the conclusion that she was a bait car to get people onto the lot, but then once they saw and drove her, would quickly change their minds and gravitate toward the new and perfect 07s.

We used those imperfections to our advantage. We told him we wanted to pay less because of the damages, missing cap and warped rotors. The salesman tried to argue that the "internet special" pricing was to accomodate for that. We asked "so how would you accomodate for that if someone else came in and was not aware of the 'internet special'? and how do you get away with selling that as a CPO with those problems?" He couldn't answer. And one last thing we used to our advantage...it was New Years Eve and a half hour away from closing time. Long story short, we got them to lower the price to $15K, and made them fix the cosmetic damages and replace the missing center cap and warped rotors. I took her home on NYE and brought her back later for the repairs, and once those were complete she was practically a new car again

So I'm cruising around with the top down the other day, and saw my first trip-white... geez that thing is gorgeous! This little white-haired older lady was driving it. You know what's weird? Now that I own an NBC, I see them ALL THE TIME! I don't know if it's because there actually are more of them on the road, or I'm just subconciously noticing them because I have one... I suspect the later. I wouldn't be so worried about being 100% unique- Just owning an NB makes you fun!

That's the thing. The car can bring you the kind of attention you want....or the attention you DON'T want

Cheyenne isn't a very big town but it is FULL of NB's and that is why it was so much fun to have a one of a kind for our town. What I really should have done was kept my satellite blue and traded my husband's jetta for the TW. My sister that lives here has a lime green TDI with the white daisy wheels and they look so Cool on that color. I don't like them on every color but the lime green is perfect for them. Don't get me wrong I love the TW just can't believe Cheyenne ended up with three of them!

LOL!
Just the other day I heard from my mother whom I passed on my way driving back from school, that her girlfriend commented that I drive "so nice and fast now." I know the cafe they were at, and it's just by a crest of a hill. I didn't get air, but I WAS driving 'nice and fast.' Even in a town full of NB's, a red one on red wheels with a big shiny exhaust is not an 'incoginto car' as you said

I'm shocked Cheyenne has that many dubs!! I drive up there fairly often since my aunt, uncle and cousin live east of town. Last year after the Frontier Days parade, I'm driving through town with my mom with the windows down and an old cowboy sitting on the sidewalk yells "BLUE BUG!!" Made my day.

Cori

p.s. hey 3-white, how about a GTG sometime? We seem to have a hard time getting more than 2 or 3 NBs together around here.
