I know you all keep your beetles nice and clean, but... there must be time when they all get dirty.

Here's an older one of Kraut. It was during the rainy season here. And it brought out the vermin that ended up here.

Kraut is one messy eater! I giggle and point when Lady Marmalade gets bugs all over her face...before washing them off of course.

Happy to report Ladybug got an all-over bubble bath Saturday
Sadly since then we've been caught out in the rain at least 3 times... Ritght now I'm just thinking of getting my coil repaired, once the part gets here. The rainy weather isn't helping it at all

Although my dirt patterns don't match the artisitc qualities of Danny's and Tesla's, an extended rainy period followed by some laziness created the camoflage my Beetle wore on a SoCal cruise earlier this year.

Not too pretty a sight, but the cruise was fun!

I think we had one last fall of pollen before it started cooling off. I washed my Darla about a month ago and last week, she was covered with dust and pollen
I'll wash her the first weekend in November hopefully (so long as water restrictions still allow weekend car-washing...but that's doubtfull since Raleigh has <100 days of water left!) since there is a show that weeked

She's usually pretty dirty since I can't wash her at school. And it hasn't rained much here. Its finally raining good today for the first time in like 2 months....literally.

Drought SUCKS. I washed, clay bar and waxed both cars this past weekend after not being able to for a about a month...it was therapeutic. I didn't take any pre-wash pictures, but they were both nasty. We too got rain yesterday, but not nearly enough to overcome the deficit. I think we have ~100 days left...more than the inlaws in ATL.
Love Raleigh BTW, have good friends that live there.

I took this picture to remind myself why I couldn't winter drive my car anymore. 05-06 was her last winter.

Nasty!
Love it! My beetle is my only ride and I am upset for the winter that is coming. In Canada, during winter, there is enough salt on the roads to suplly a small country for few years :0) Good thing is that I have a small car-wash room in the underground garage.

I dont have it uploaded yet but I do have a pic of BeBe with bugs all over the front end. We took a daytrip about a month ago and went through NE Arizona, through Winslow, the Painted Desert, then over west to the Winslow crater and Flagstaff then back home again. The bugs on her front end were soooo nasty, and my garage had a nasty stench from her sitting there all night. I had to get her washed the next day. My carwash place usually charges for extreme bug removal, but since I go there often they waived the fee lol. The pics don't do justice but I'll throw them up later tonight when I am home from work.
