Default Ever catch any one talking to your nb?

Have you ever caught any one talking to your beetle when they don't think your around?

I was in the target parking lot the other night waiting for a friend to meet me and the guy that brings the carts from the parking lot to the store was pushing a whole bunch and a few got away and hit the back of bumbles.

I wanted to say something to him but decided to see what he would do. I thought for sure he would just look around to make sure no one saw it and walk away. But instead he looked around then checked for any scratches. After he was done looking, I saw him pat bumbles a few times and say, "Sorry, little bug." and then he back to his job.

I looked after he was gone and there weren't any marks. Instead of being mad that he hit my car, it made me smile knowing that he apologized to it!

It makes me wonder if there are other people that have ever talked to my beetle. Has it happened to anyone else?

That's nice, I hate it when people don't give a crap about other people's property.

Well kind of a spin on your topic. I have gotten caught talking to my bug when I didn't think anyone was within earshot. DOH

yeah i can't help but talk to red as well. its funny because some days i'll be driving and he just wants to "run". i'll catch myself speeding and say "whoa red, whoa." he likes to run and i like it when he does. lol.

i think it's really funny that children always smile and point at Red when we drive around. what can i say, beetles make ppl happy. but they also bring THE PAIN!!! muahhhaahaa slug bug!

i have yet to find anyone talking to Red but i welcome the opportunity. he's very social and loves the ladies.

Some dude in a big truck hit my car and just left while I was attending my baccalaureate last Sunday. What a jerk. I came outside and almost cried. I feel horrible knowing I don't have the money to fix him..

Same thing happened to me
I didn't see the guy but since the dent was halfway up the hood it had to be an oversized truck.

Coming back from a beach walk, I once caught a toddler hugging my Olive bug. He was about 2 1/2 years old and his mom was mortified and/or hoping I wouldn't have a cow that he had touched the car. Of course, I couldn't get angry, it was so cute and I've done it myself!

I talk to Daisy all the time. If I caught someone else talking to her, I'd smile and wonder if they had taken their meds yet....

I talk to Probie a lot. Especially recently because he's been acting up and misbehaving. I had a pep talk with him about the whole turbo issue (which is fixed YEAH!), I'm glad it wasn't a dead turbo that needed replacing.

I don't think I've caught anyone talking to him yet, though people always point. But a lot of people call him a "her". I keep trying to play up his manliness...not enough yet I guess.

And on an interesting note. Now that I have Probie and refer to "him" often. My boyfriend has started refering to his Jeep as "her". "She" still runs well, "she" has been a great over the last several years. I feel bad I can't fix "her" up the way "she" is supposed to be. Are all the things he's saying now, that he never used to say before. Hmm...is it contagious??

I think it is! A lot of my friends have started referring to their cars as "him" or "her" lately.

I think it's sweet that he patted Bumbles on the bum and apologized! I talk to Bullet all the time. Of course, I've talked to every car I've owned, they all need pep talks from time to time. Cars are like people, they can be very temperamental when they're not appreciated! Poor Bullet is going to be jealous this weekend when I leave him at my mom's and he sees us getting into Daisy to head to the TOD gtg. I am starting to explain this to him and I think he understands..... I told him that Daisy has a full lid that we can open, he only has a his little hole. If it's a nice day, we want to be able to open the lid. Plus he gets to visit with his friend Cargie all weekend. Cargie is my step-dad's cargo van. He's a 1989 and is an old crumudgeon, but he and Bullet get along when they are parked side by side. Okay, now I am starting to think I'm nuts!

Okay, now all of you are scaring me. I at least do my talking to Foxy in the garage where I can’t be seen. Besides, I have to soothe the ruffled feathers of our 2008 Ford Taurus who is upset that a snippet little German girl is rooming with her and getting all the attention. As you can see, I have my hands full.
