Since I drive Bogie, the BugNoir, his theme song is:

As Time Goes Bye, what else?

Play it again Sam...

You must remember this
A kiss is just a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh.
The fundamental things apply
As time goes by.

And when two lovers woo
They still say, "I love you."
On that you can rely
No matter what the future brings
As time goes by.

Moonlight and love songs
Never out of date.
Hearts full of passion
Jealousy and hate.
Woman needs man
And man must have his mate
That no one can deny.

It's still the same old story
A fight for love and glory
A case of do or die.
The world will always welcome lovers
As time goes by.

Oh yes, the world will always welcome lovers
As time goes by...

I love the Monkees! Except I'm probably one of the younger fans - I watched all of the re-runs on TV as a little kid in the 80s, and through the biggest hissy fit when they stopped playing them. Although my song was always "Daydream Believer" - I thought it was the coolest thing that they sang "Cheer up sleepy Jean" and my middle name is Jean. (There are no songs with my first name in them - so I was happy!)

Nice choice
Rodney picks songs for major mileage events.

220K was Hells Bells.

Right now, it's "Low Rider" by War. The funky bass sounds great even in my stock system.

Oh, and the Monkees: did any used to collect their bubblegum cards? Besides baseball cards (used to have the entire Big Red Machine set, even a few extras to put in the bicycle spokes!), I had the Monkees, some Dark Shadow TV cards, and some RatFink. My sister still has our Monkees LPs. (the rat!)

Well I don't have a reason for choosing this song it just sorta came to mind when I thought "song for my car" :
"Lola" by the Kinks or when I am feeling froggy the "move b**ch" song by ludacris

ANYWAYS... George and I have several songs...

Electric Feel- MGMT

Idioteque- Radiohead (I get lost in a daze listening to this one in my car!)

I remember, one of the first songs that came on the radio after I drove him off the lot....

Walkin on Sunshine - Katrina and the Waves.
That song always makes me think of my car, nice weather, cruising with the windows down.

Just for giggles...

My car is FAMOUS on campus here because of this song:

The Ding Dong Song - Gunther.

If you haven't heard it, you just want to see something really amusing, or you're wondering what exactly made me and my car famous, please watch this video..

Actually, The Monkees had a huge reunion that started in 1986 and ended up being the highest grossing tour of the year! They had some other groups from the 60s like Gary Pucket and the Union Gap, and the Grass Roots, and Hermans Hermits, (without Herman). I think they were even better then than they were in the 60s. More mellow. They put out an album called Pool It in 87 and then for their 30th anniversary, A great CD called JUST US. I'm glad I'm not the only Monkee fan around! They got back together in 2001 for another tour, I got to see them 3 times then! Atlanta, Lexington and Knoxville.

My NBC song would probably have to be 1901 by Phoenix right now haha... I'm a music junkie.

(For those of you who watch TV it is the song in the new Cadillac commercials.)
