One more time CEL/Gas tank etc
My light is driving me crazy and it is (I am convinced and can prove it) due to whatever the black "thingy" is inside the tank that I can see when it is being filled up. Sometimes it is out and sometimres it is pushed in. My light was off for awhile, went back on yesterday and I filled up today and noticed it sticking OUT I had pushed it in awhile ago and then the light went out a few days later.
What is this thingy and can someone tell me (maybe look at yours) if it is supposed to be an inny or an outy? Thanks PS I also added fuel cleaner as someone suggested,first time has almost 68,000 miles Last edited by silverpodgirl; 01-11-2006 at 07:12 PM..

The little flap at the top of the filler neck? I don't think that would cause the CEL; a loose cap, though, will.
