Default what needs fixin' guys?

I suppose its the best of the worst of our new beetle experiences, yet, its something everyone has experienced and/or currently enduring...Broken components ,lol.

So far,my current to do list is to replace-

-busted foglight mounts,
-busted grill (stone)
-Front clip isn't flush
-skid plate ripped off
-Side marker fell off
-02 sensor is dead
-interior dome light is busted
-speedo bezel broke
-head unit,trashed,broke
-headlight assemblies are junked...

Ummm...

-headliner,sags
-cups holders,cracked
-door pull,cracked
-Antenna AND base, stolen (base ripped outta roof,oh jeez)
...

That's all I can think of,at 16k since august,my daily driver rocks! The past 7 owners weren't as loving as myself,I've got a huge bill to bring her back to *near* complete,I'm feeling a little alone here in the cosmetic repair dept...I can't wait until summer rolls around, ill fix'er up real nice .

Anyone out there besides myself got a list to share?

(I thought this thread would be stress relieving to those with a large bill in front of 'em like myself,a cool idea at least).

I need to :
Get new tires
Unclog my passenger side sunroof drain
Sand/Repaint my roof because of rust bubbles
get a new DV
Replace some hoses
Find out why my turbo boost isnt consistent (hopefully hoses and DV related)
replace cat (with a Turboback since its nearly the same price)....

thank goodness my car is still new-to-me and I bought it certified pre-owned...

all I really need to fix up are some scratches on the lower half of my bumper. (grumble grumble grumble!)
...already have the touch up paint, just waiting for my bf's brother (who's a paint genius) to take care of it when it gets nicer out.

Two new front tires
Possibly new front seats
Find and fix smell in a/c system!
Touch-up/repaint lower front bumper grill

My list is short. For now.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

Have rear bumper and fenders repainted, replace brake calipers, replace cabin filter, repaint or replace grille, get my water and oil gauges working again, replace door panel on the driver's side, and get new passenger side headlight.

Geez, where to start:

- needs a thorough detail cleaning (hopefully this weekend if the weather is nice)
- headlight covers cleaned
- new interior upholstery
- new stereo
- new carpeting
- new exterior paint
- new windshield (I JUST got a pebble kicked up on it this morning)
- new wires & spark plugs (this weekend hopefully)
- new shocks & struts eventually
- brakes will need to be done w/in 3 months

I'm sure there is more, but can't think of it right now...

I have to admit I was a little disappointed when I first got my car and was getting Check Engine Lights within the first week. Now, I am over it and onto taking care of my Luna Bug.

So far we have: replaced the coolant temp sensor (took care of the CEL's and was a diy), had the recall issues (brake light sensor, coil pack) taken care of.

I need to:
-fix water pump and timing belt (this will be scheduled to do in the upcoming weeks as soon as I get check)
- purchase a second key with key fob, valet key (car only came with one key and I'm terrible for misplacing my keys!)
- purchase owner's manual and other manuals
-replace speaker grille in rear side
-replace rear cup holder
- are considering replacing the shift knob as it has quite a bit of wear
- i don't know what you call them, but the pieces under the doors have some paint missing from the edges. will probably buy some touch up paint to do this. there are some other areas on the car that could use touch up paint
- replace front head lights. i noticed what appears to be water in one of my head lights. it must have a minute crack some wear.

I may do some mods as well, but the water pump is the top of my list. Until that can be done, anything I do for the bug is going to be small.
