Talking Bored, feel like drawing- opinions please!

I had the brilliant time-waster idea that- since the New Beetles are being discontinued and no one knows for sure what will happen to the model, maybe I would use some of my between-route time to draw my own!

This also led me to wonder- what specific things do YOU like or dislike about cars? Asthetically. I know nothing about engines and transmissions and such, so would likely not understand much of what people might suggest.

But for example-

On my old style Cavalier one thing I really loved was the placement of the door cupholders. For a short person like me who needs the seat up anyway, that location was the perfect one for me in terms of reaching naturally for a cup and also not having drinks in the center where a traveling dog might hop over/spill them, and where it wasn't blocking a radio or something.
The dash cupholder drawer-thing, however, was a horrible idea, as cold drinks cause condensation, which would then drip onto the front passenger's legs. (good for thirsty puppies on a long drive though)

In the Saturn, one thing I hate especially is the shape of the seats. The part that wraps forward on the backrest, where your shoulders are between- that piece is uncomfortable for me- it causes me to constantly mash the back of my upper arm when trying to shift. Also the back seems to be hollow for someone my height (5'2") so that I feel like I'm slouching in it.

Things like this is what I'm looking for. Especially good things- what do you like best about your car- any car- and what things just did not especially work for you?

Hmm, saturn headrests I dislike- they slope toward my head, which is fine for a person without a ponytail or anything that sticks out...

I have an old (1999) new beetle, so perhaps these issues have been addressed on th enewer models, but what I don't like on mine are: the cup holder doesn't do anything but annoy me. I know, everyone complained about this on the early models. The glove box holds nothing more than a slip of paper. The stock carpet is awful, cheesy, etc. Plastic dash and door panels, really bad. There's plenty more I would change.

I do love ALOT about the car or I wouldn't be here. I hoping that my next model, which I want to be a 2009 blush edition, will be all I dream about in my little New Beetle mind.

I'd love it if the doors actually had cupholders, and a comfy arm rest. Also some useful sun visors for once. A sturdier armrest and some audio/cruise/phone controls on the steering wheel would be super awesome too.

Are your seats broken? I hope they recline, anyway. I practically live in my car now and sleep in it all the time.

Hmm, maybe some all-around window shades would be good to have.
