Default My first NB picked up today!!

Well, my wife and I finally got the car she's always wanted. We picked up our 2006 NBC today. It took over three hours at the dealership but we finally got the deal done. It drove really nice on the highway going home today. It's harvest moon with pkg 2. I will take some pics this weekend when the weather is supposed to be near 80 and sunny!! It's been raining here the last couple of days. This is a great forum and you guys have been very helpful. Thanks!!

It's great to hear you did the deed and got the new baby home. Can't wait to see the pics.

I too am a happy, excited and proud new owner of a red NB (2006, 2.0L). I picked it up last Friday and though I'm already his 3rd owner, my Archey Bug has been very lovingly taken care of by its first 2 owners, and has clocked less than 56,000km when I took over. It's the very first time I've owned a car and I've wanted to own a NB ever since I laid eyes on it some 10 years ago! So you can imagine it's a long-time dream come true for me... I've been lurking in this forum for weeks since I started searching for a NB to buy and found it very useful and informative, especially for a first-time NB owner.

Thanks so much, Larissa. Yes, my wife has always loved the NB's and we finally were able to purchase one. Ours, too, is a 2006 with around 50,000 miles on her. It was a one-owner off lease vehicle. Congrats on your NB also. Yours sounds beautiful!! I'm very happy you were able to make your dream come true. Please post some pics as soon as you can. I will do the same hopefully this weekend. Best of luck!!!

After driving it home yesterday from the dealer, I can't believe how much space there is in the front. It's really deceiving!! The dash is huge and the windshield sits far away. It drives like it's a much bigger car. I will take some pics this weekend when it's supposed to be sunny and warm. It's been raining here in NJ for the past few days.

Thanks for all the nice comments. It's great to be a part of the Org!!

I promise, you will smile inside, (and out) every time you look at your new baby. I still do after almost 7 years!!!! More pictures!!! we love pictures!!!!!!:w ave2:

Beetles have great grip with the right tires. I feel very safe in mine when it rains.

And yes, the interior is SO big & roomy. Headroom is never an issue.

Welcome to the Org!!

Yes, as far as I've seen so far everything works fine. I still can't get over how much head room there is and how far from the window the driver sits!! Amazing! I think it's going to be a fun car for many years to come. It's really my wife's car but I get the sneaky suspicicion I'll be using it more than she thinks!!
