Default Really trying to pamper our NBC....

We just purchased our '06 NBC a few days ago. We worked all day Saturday to clean out the garage so we could keep the Beetle well protected. I've never done that before with any of our cars. There must be something to these Beetles!! I know I'm not the only one who does things like this to their Beetles. Just wanted to provide my two cents.. Thanks for reading this. Love the Org!!!

I wish I had a garage. My beetle deserves a garage.

My husband moved his trike out of the way for Penny so she's been garaged two nights in a row now We've had severe weather two nights in a row now though too.

Good for you! Wish I had a garage again... Might I suggest something that will make you NB even better and more pampered? Buy yourself a good car cover. Not the cheesy one from your local auto parts store, but a really fine one from COVERCRAFT. I have always owned the WEATHERSHIELD model and it IS the best. I park ourtside, though and it needs it. If you park in the garage might I suggest the FLANNEL TOP? It is a cotton cover with a nice flannel lining so that us next to your paint. People poo-poo this idea because they think the car is indoors and it's protected. But I am an auto detailer and know what the extra care can do for the life of your paint. Even indoors your car car get dusty and dirty. Just look at your living room furniture!

Good luck with your NB!

good advice

also in my experience I cause more damage to my car IN THE GARAGE then outside watch those falling broom handles, and upper shelves, and if it's a tight fit don't wear clothing with big metal zippers that may scratch the finish don't ask me how I know

That's great advice, guys!! Thanks for the info. I will probably invest in a cover. You're right, just because it's in a garage doesn't mean it's gonna be free from dust and everything else. Thanks again. This is a great forum!!

Beware if you have a kitty/cat that likes to go out in the garage to play. Sasha "loves" to sit on top of Henry. Every once in a while I find little claw marks on the hood. this past winter caught me off guard. Normally I gas him up, give him a bath and vacuum the interior and cover him up....well I missed out on all 4 of those elements....be mindful of the cat.

The '34 Ford Coupe in the garage I can understand, pull the Vette out and pull the bug in....those are the most important cars. LOL!
