Lightbulb new convertible beetle

So these past few weeks I've been trying my hardest to find a convertible beetle thats newer than a 2006. I won't be trading in my current beetle if i can help it but anyways I test drove a 2006 and I drove sooo nice! I have a 2002 beetle and I don't know why but the newer one felt more powerful. The sales person said newer ones have more horse power. is that true? i also noticed that the 2006's stearing wheel was just a little higher up. in my 2002 i hit my knee once in a great while so anyways wish me luck! I really want a convertible so I can take it for the 3 hour road trip to my dads and so I can let my mom drive my older beetle (she drives a large truck and obviously the gas for beetles is cheaper)

I believe your 2002, being a 2.0L, has 115 horse power. The vert you tested out was probably a 2.5L which has 150 horse power. So yea, probably felt quicker.

As for the steering wheel ... you can move it up and down. There is a 'lever' under the steering wheel that you release that allows for the steering wheel to move.

the 2.5L is also paired with a 6 Speed Automatic, rather than a 4 speed. Lots more power and better shifting!

The seats also move up and down. Maybe you have your seat up too high?

On my 09, the steering wheel will not only tilt, but telescopes and inch or two.

Done that since the beginning.

Having just moved from a 98 to a 2010, I can't tell any difference in steering wheel height...but it might be different on the verts.

I can't tell any difference myself on a 99 to 2010 or a 2003 vert.

The 67 though? Most definately different
