Default Beetle love.

So I found a used Beetle in Techo Blue that I fell in love with but sadly at the moment can't get it cause I don't have enough money. ANd It was not to pricey either. But my dad told me yesterday by the summer he will get me a car. But not now. So I am little sad. ANd I was already to name the car to. Was going to call her Ariel. Like the Little Mermaid. Because the color of the car makes me think of the ocean.

2004 Volkswagen Beetle GLS in Greenville, SC- 6392339 at carmax.com

There is the link for it if anyone wants to look at it.

That car is a satellite blue, that's why it has the blue seats and door panels. That price is a bit high even with the low miles. For a little more you could get a new 2010 with all the incentives and discounts.

Biggest thing when buying a car from a dealer...DON"T GET ATTACHED!! Seriously, I know it's hard. I fell into this trap. Once they know that you are SOLD on a car...they won't budge from price or interest. You either take it or leave it. I took it....6 year loan with 14.5% interest....at $14.5K... makes me sick to think about it. I love my car, don't get me wrong, but the dealer took me.....I could have probably gotten the same car for less somewhere else. And seeing as how this is a "limited edition" and if they know that (i'm sure they do) they'll sell it for that.

Good luck getting a NB in the future though! Maybe this one will still be available, and you can say "I saw this car for sale x amount of months ago....you still have it?! Wow, must not be a lot of interest, it'll sit on your lot FOREVER...unless you give me a deal... "

Thanks MichelleRose. that makes me feel alot better. I did not even go and look at the car yet. Just looked at it online. And was thinking about going to go look at it soon. Then realized I don't have enough money sadly. Again thanks for the tips.

The one that's right for you will turn up in your driveway one of these days I am convinced you don't find them, they find you. (be careful though, they seem to multiply!)

Anyways I am posting because it looks like perhaps I will get to have my car around Christmas time! So happy and excited about it! ANd I really want a beetle in Satile Blue and my honey is going to try and find me one. He is so sweet to me. I love him to death.

I couldn't agree more!! Ok, storytime, if you have the patience to read my rambling ...

I started looking online for a Beetle last August and was pretty much willing to take ANYTHING I could find. My preference, of course, was a New Beetle Convertible in a bright color, but all the ones I saw were out of our price range. Anyways, fast forward to December. I found a cute red 2000 a couple of hours away, so my mom took me to go look at it. The exterior was great, but I was immediately disappointed with the interior: the seats were rock-hard, there were gross rust stains on the headliner around the sunroof, and on top of all that, the poor bug shook when you drove it. I knew deep down that it wasn't the NB for me, but I really wanted one and tried to point out the good things about it to my mom. Of course, it would've been stupid to buy it, so we moved on. A couple of weeks after I turned 16 in January, I mentioned to my parents that we hadn't looked for a car for me since the dud-bug a month earlier. My mom got online and picked out quite a few different cars nearby that we would look at that weekend: a Civic, a Cobalt, a red 2001 Mustang convertible, off-white 2001 Eclipse Spyder convertible, and finally, a 2004 Sundown Orange New Beetle Convertible. I was told not to get my hopes up about the NBC, because it was out of our price range. However, when we went to the dealership that had the NBC and the Eclipse, we told the salesman that we were much more interested in the NBC, but it was too expensive. Well, we test drove both, and I was immediately in love with the NBC. The salesman brought the price down for us, and a week later, she was mine. My bug came along when I least expected it!

Sorry, that was longer than I expected it to be. lol Moral of the story, though: don't worry! If it's meant to be, you'll get your perfect Beetle when the time is right.

It's okay. I like a good story and that was a great one! And the beetle I want is in Satille Blue. I am dead yet on that color. hehehehe
Does anyone want to be my friend? I am a nice girl from North Carolina but now live in South Carolina after my dad retired from the Army. SO I have lived all over the place.

First off, we are all your friends here

Second, if you don't mind, I too have a story about my NB I got...

In February of 2007 I test drove a Laser Blue NB with my ex bf because the salesman actually said it was okay so a few days later I told my grandma and to my surprise she said "I have an idea, we will talk to Bapa's (my grandpa) friend because he goes to auctions and see if we can find a nice 2003 or 2004" I was shocked literally. So as you can probably guess I started looking right away, come June my grandpa had a heart attack, needless to say the look for my bug stopped until he was better (he is doing just fine today ). In January of 2008 my grandma had started looking without me knowing and was starting to show me what she was coming up with. I was hell bent on getting a Blue beetle, we looked at A LOT of cars over the next couple months. I really liked Red but I was pretty much gonna go for anything, I never thought I would like or want a Green one but when we pulled up at this little used car lot and saw Fiona I was in love even though she didn't have a sunroof and she had cloth seats I knew she was special. My grandparents didn't clue me in on the fact that they were pursuing her, for 2 weeks they were going back and forth with the guy to get the price down and I had no idea. March 14th they come over, I had a feeling they had bought the green one, they walk in the house and hand me the key and this is what was sitting in my driveway

Sorry the pic is big, this is the very first one I ever took of her

Casey (mybugrocks) is right. We are all your friends now, with OR without a beetle. You will find the right one and it will just happen. Fate I tell ya. OR, as Casey would say.... The right Beetle will find YOU. Either way, it WILL happen, and it will be BEETLE LOVE for sure.

In the mean time, just keep looking.
