Nice! I'll grab some card-stock while I'm out doing service calls tomorrow (hoping that no more come in so we can all enjoy the 4th) and print some of those up - Thanks!!

And to the OP:

The best waves you will ever get is when - going to Roswell and the ToD GtG.

Hey y'all...I know what you mean. I don't know how often I wave. I'd say since owning and driving Henry, I "think" I may have gotten back at least a dozen waves and he was born in 2007.

I do also think that most ladys who drive NBs/NBCs are apprehensive about waving to a fella in an NBC or NB...just because....no explanation needed, and this is just ridiculous, but I can understand where they are coming from.

I too, have begun hitting my head lamps once prior to waving, just doesn't seem to make a difference. Guess I'll have to start carrying a big gun with me as well. LOL!!

Well we ALL know that we have tried to get a wave...so we're not nutz, it's the udder folk.

It's definitely the other folk that are nuts! It can't be all of us! If I make my way up to Door County I'll look for a Laser Blue vert flashing and waving. I'll have to take Ladybug's Bra off before I start flashing!

Hey, I started out my NB ownership right on Friday and waved at all 3 NB drivers I saw on my way home from the dealership... and the 2 that I'm sure saw me looked at me like I was either crazy or stupid. Whatever! I'll keep on wavin'!

I did, however, witness a Slug Bug today in the Starbucks drive thru when I pulled up to the window! One girl came up to punch the other in the arm... the one who did it says she drives one, and that the girl she punched always slugs someone whenever she pulls up for work, so she'd been waiting for someone to come through the drive thru in one so she could get her back! Ha! Glad to be of service! It was cute and made me smile.

Its a shame the NB community isn't more like that. But thats just the way it is I suppose.
I dunno, maybe it's just my town, but I seem to get TONS of love from old-skool beetle drivers every time I'm out and about. I even get random parking lot conversations from strangers about how they used to have a bug and all the good times they had, yada-yada... But I've only seen a peace sign or wave once from another NB driver. I just don't get it. I keep trying though...

It's like that here too. I've gotten WAY more waves and peace signs from the old-skool crowd. I've received more attention from people driving other VWs; Jettas, Passats, Rabbits, than NB's. Most NB drivers just ignore me or look at me like I'm stupid.

I've been driving Dolly for less than a week, but really disappointed with my lack of waves so far from other new beetle owners. Rats.
I'm going to be more proactive and give a toot on the horn and a full on wave out of my open window from now on. I mean, come on...if you drive a beetle (new or old) and you aren't happy and glowing from every pore, and don't want to share the happiness, then you might as well drive a Ford Focus (like my hubby).

On a plus note, I've been driving past tons of kids doing the homemade lemonade stands by the side of the road (still a novelty to me after emigrating here from England 2 years ago). Their reactions when they see my lovely Salsa Red Dolly coming down the street are EXTREME! "Wow, look at the bug!!" they all scream, and follow her down the road. I feel like the Pied Piper!!
(and yes, I did stop to buy some. It was terrible, but it made them happy).

I've had people stop to chat to me at stop signs, car parks, grocery stores and outside my garage. People can't just not help but admire. Good

I've gotten a couple of waves so far... nothing like the "jeep wave" though, of course...
