Question What needs fixed on your bug?

I saw a old thread like this and thought it was time for a new one instead of bumping it up.

My bug needs:

- Front struts & springs
- New antenna
- Fuel filter
- Shifter cable adjusted
- Both window regulators (if silicone doesn't fix the problem) DONE
- Drivers side micro-switch
- Interior paint job
- Exterior paint scratches touched up
- New headlight and replace the seal on the other one
- Replace fog light bulb
- Windshield (it's cracked but not noticeable or leaking...yet)
- Wax!

It seems like a long list but I should have it all done by the end of summer.

Darla needs:

- New headliner
- New tires
- Passenger side microswitch
- New interior (ideally...my seat has ripped )
- A good wash and wax. A detail if I end up being able to afford it someday...

Hopefully can get the tires done soon. Wanted to in the next week but the hubby is going away for work. So hopefully in 2 weeks. Headliner hopefully soon too. Microswitch will probably be in the fall. Bath hopefully this weekend!

You're running on luck if it's never been done but I'm sure you know that . I just had mine done at 103k and it was bad. It was so cracked that the mechanic was shocked it hadn't broke yet.

Seems like we all need a fog light.

new exterior paint
new door lock sensors (microswitch?)
new keyfob
new shocks/struts
new speakers

Bridgette wants-

New amp and sub

and once again, probably a few other things I forgot about at the moment.

Nugget needs a few things...some mechanical, some cosmetic:

-timing belt
-tinted windows
-driver door speaker
-few scratches/dents fixed (from previous owner, not me!)
-transmission check-not quite sure what's going on there
-A good wax
-a few more cupholders!

all in all, he's in great condition. Hoping that I can get the timing belt done soon and the windows before end of summer.

what doesn't?

right now, pressing stuff includes:
- install new ac compressor
- get another set of non-cupped tires and spare rims so I can get ATP classics stripped and powdercoated
-replace exhaust
-replace grille or get other (Mini Cooper?) fog lights and mount differently- less vulnerably?
-replace windshield

- fix and paint all body panels (eventually)
- replace door and quarter cards/panels
a few hundred other things- most of it I have the parts, just not the time. Maybe in cooler weather.

Felix will be 12 yrs old in August and probably close to 300k ('fail odometer' reads 235k but is something like 270-280 in reality?)

Rear shocks
Starter (making noise, but starts fine)
2 tires
mirror switch (broke off years ago even though I used it about 3 times before it just fell off)
center console (Latch has broken several times)
New gas cap...O ring messed up and causing check engine to go on.

I already did water pump, timing belt, front struts, 2 tires recently due to totally messed up struts, had new cat converter (warranty) new shift boot, new seat covers (had a few holes)

Lots of other more minor stuff done, it was a never ending thing, but recently, not so bad. It is weird, after I hit 100K nothing has gone wrong. I bought the car new in AZ 9 years ago.

I am sure that since I said this, something will go wrong any day now LOL
