Eeek! I'm sorry...
Similar happened to my Jeep a few months ago (incident with accidentally pulling into the garage after drinking a bit--i know, i'll never do that again) and I scraped the front bumper on the BRICK OF THE HOUSE. Haha. Insane incident, yes. Either way, I was able to sand it down with some fine-grit paper and add a bit of primer and touch-up paint. Looked fine! I hope you're able to get yours straight ![]() |

not sure if the dealership will have spray touch up paint, which is what you need here, not the little bottles. call them up and ask them, just find your color code here http://www.touchuppaintonline.com/Volkswagen/Beetle and match up the one listed on your car. good luck getting it fixed and sorry to see the damage |

I bought the touch up paint. It is the same colour code (since its from the dealer) and comes with clear to put on top. I'm going to try it out today after I wash her ... I'm also going to try to touch up my lower bumper. Bra's are not made for my sport bumpers; so her lower bumper is battered up from road trips. Some have suggested putting blue painters tape on her; but that just looks awful. I can't do that to her. |

Well i will sand it and paint it for now and soon as i can afford it i will just replace it..Can't now got a concert to go to on the 7th of Aug in Southern Washington, and a pending move after that so need to do a Temp. fix...What grade of sandpaper would be best for this?

If its a temporary fix, i would just do 180 to remove paint and deep scratches. then follow with 320 grit wet sanding, and you want primer to go on before the paint to help the paint stick because sometimes temporary is longer than we hope for! Then again I'm no pro either....
