I got my first beating the other day

I have to admit that I normally don't pay much attention to what's around me while driving (well other than what I have to). I'm still a VERY VERY nervous stick shifter and driving is very anxiety producing for me. At any rate, I was driving with the top down the other night when I over heard the following conversation from two girls sitting on a porch.

Girl #1 "OW OW OW why are you hitting me?"
Girl #2 "BLUE ONE!"
Me "BWAHAHAHAHA!"

I have to say that it made my night 8) I love having a car where it's perfectly acceptable to beat people up when seeing it

hahahaha nice!!!! Last night I was driving through a parking lot and all of a sudden I see this girl turn and hit her guy friend/bf or whatever and run away, he ran after her it cracks me up, she was running pretty fast too

Today I got out of my car at a bank and noticed this little kid in a car across the street pointing at my car going nuts on his mom - then she goes nuts back on him because she noticed that 3 spots down from my car was another bug! HAR!!

I knew from driving around that the other bug was an employee at the bank so I tracked her down inside and 'tagged' her with one of the org cards.

I love when this happens! I see it all the time. Thanks to my NB now looking like a lady bug, she gets more stares than the norm.

I always honk at them if I see them doing the whole punchbug thing, just because I have an "aoooooogaaa" horn.

I been seeing this more n more lately,Funny one i was pulling up at the Scorpions concert and i see 3 older guys..Yell Blue one i look over and all 3 kept punchin each other..Then them 3 guys where inline and the one guy yells 'Hey its the Blue Bug owner...one the other guys yells hey ur car promotes Domestic Violence......Haha..I'm like laughing..Then today 2 teenagers where hitting each other and pointing at Boo

i was in a parking lot (the michaels/sallys/hometown buffet area across from the walmart next to the milford mall, for my local OP) and as i was driving, there's a couple walking toward me, guy turns and punches girl. i gave him a thumbs up, he laughed and gave it back. she was not amused.

i see it a lot, i usually will wave or at the least smile. sometimes they look at me funny. i'm thinking, you just punched your friend because of my car, and you don't think that's silly?

I was leaving the grocery store the other day and the kid walking in front of me punched his mom and yelled "slug bug yellow!" then a few feet later, he spotted the black one I was parked next to and he just started screaming that it was "his lucky day" and punched his mom repeatedly. II love that my car promotes violence. hahahaha.

I once was walking back to my car and saw a young boy yell "PUNCH BUGGY" as he walked by my car... except the best part was that he punched his dad square in the crotch!

While making one of many trips to the Lowe's in Henderson Saturday, we saw a Surburban pull past us (we were waiting to turn left onto the road from the church parking lot) and the mom turned around and started beating the crap out of the kids in the back bench with a huge smile on her face. I'm sure she took pride in saying "Silver and black punch bug, no punch back!"

I think its our state. We seem to have our fair share of crabby people! Even fellow Beetle owners...you wave and they look at you like you're on crack.

I saw my first punch the other day. I was stopped at a crossing and saw this guy chase his friend then punch him! It made my day!!!

I love seeing this.. And every where you go its different.. Some places say punch buggy and others like where I grew up say slug bug.. lol.. "Slug bug no hits back" lmao.. I still play.. We all play.. Peanut has gotten pretty good at it.. I keep a more watchfull eye out cause I don't wanna get slugged.. lol

I work for the city and were all over town going to different job sites and play punchbug, but we have a highly tuned set of rules you can get different points for:

punchbug 1
punch bug vert 2
punch bug vert top down 3
punch bug on a hook (being towed or car carrier) 5
punchbug w/ graphics (geek squad, ect) 5
punch bugs we see all the time are "normalties" and you can call them one time a month. Normalties are reset on the first of the month.
Punchbus 5
punchbug Thing 20
Punch bug rainbow (3 or more of different colors) 10
Cannot call a punch bug on a dealer lot.
CAN call them on repair shop lots

I am a brand new first time beetle owner and picked up my baby on Saturday morning.

I had read this thread in the exciting lead up to picking up my girl and was thoroughly amused and thought - I wonder how long until I see this!

Low and behold... Tuesday, only day 4 of beetle ownership I have put some shopping bags in the back seat and hopped in ready to drive off and a woman with a toddler in a pram crouched down and pointed at the car whilst talking to her child, then she suddenly springs up and turns around and whacks the man she was with in the arm!!

It was hilarious and I was so excited to have this beetle experience so soon!

I love seeing it all the one that prob my sec fav was on holloween when i was letting a little girl and her mother walk across the road and she turned and hit her mother on the but and said punch bug and her mother looked and me and we shared a good laugh and she said thank you have a good night but the funniest was shared by many orgers. it was on the TOD g2g when we were doing from the dragon to the skyway. There was a guy driving a bike with his girl on the back and i was in the second group and he came around the corrner and saw the other 15 or 20 if us he pegged it and prob tried to slide her off the back. She was hitting her as hard as she could for every one of us it was great.
