Default What are the odds?

I've been driving Skörpy for over two years now.
A letter came in the mail a couple of weeks ago from a police department in WA.
Inside was a photograph of an '05 VW Golf caught by camera speeding.
My name, tag # and the '08 VW Beetle were listed on the report.

It seems the guy who bought the Golf (and I) got our tags from the dealer on the same day.
The dealership accidentally switched our tags when they attached them on the cars.

So I got a speeding citation without ever setting foot or tire in the state of WA.
Skynet has failed! The Robocops do not see what the human eye sees.
I could clearly distinguish a Golf from a Beetle.

I've been driving all of this time on someone's tags.
If it wasn't so bizarre I wouldn't be laughing about it now.

Oh, the dealer gave me new tags last week and they also took care of the mistaken identity citation.

I'm impressed by how quickly my dealer took care of the problem, even though none of this would have happened if they had put the right plates on from the start.
