So I am sitting at the red light waiting on green when suddenly "BLAM"
and my bug was swatted by a Honda Accord!

Gasp! I"m so sorry! Looks like the Accord was new to the owner too. Guess they'll have to get another new car... Geez.

How people DON'T see a BRIGHT YELLOW new beetle, I will never know. Looks like you got pushed into the truck too. Bummer! Hopefully your buggy gets fixed soon....

From the damage it looks like he was trying to get into the next lane over and didn't get over far enough. Looks like he was driving at a decent speed too, for coming up to a red light. Dang.

But hey, YOU guys are ok, and the car can be fixed. That guy had to have been driving WAY too fast on approach to that red light. And by the look of his ear-piece, I imagine he was probably on the phone and was distracted.

Did the cops ticket you by any chance? I only ask because out here in Washington, if you are in an accident, and you hit the vehicle in front of you, even if it was the fault of the guy BEHIND you, we get a ticket for "being to close" to the vehicle in front :/

I hate that! How could he not see your bright Yellow NEW BEETLE! Some people just have it out for us! I see you kissed the back bumper of the truck in front of you at the light. You got it coming and going!

Not only can people miss bright yellow roundness, they also miss neon green convertibles (avoided several wrecks by constantly watching rearview mirror), AND huge monstrous school buses!! With flashing lights everywhere. Really?
Not only do school buses drive safely (supposed to), but they can't stop suddenly, or take off, and turning is a multi-arm effort in a hugely wide arc. We have reflectors everywhere in addition to the lights... how is it that people still hit us?

I'm very grateful to have never been involved yet in an accident due to my fault or anyone else's. I'm sure it would not be a fun experience, and I don't want it!
