Chi Chi's last owner
This might be slighty long winded but I knew if anyone would appricate it it would be my beetle peeps! So some of us wonder who has prevously owned the beloved bug. Sometimes for different reasons. Such as "they took wonderful care of it and really seemed to loved as much as I do!" Or "it's in horrible shape. Missing this, that" blah blah so on and so forth. Well mine was good last owner.
When I went to look at a local dealer with two bugs I actually looked a Chi last. I first looked at 2004 red 2.0 auto. Beautiful. When the dealer came out he told me that he was sorry but the bug was already sold... to the previous owners of the "tan" convertible. I thought that was awesome in it's self that someone loves them enough that when they traded they just had to have another. Anyways. I wasn't really disappointed because I had been looking for a vert or turbo. It was pretty warm day and after leaving the lot I put the top down down the road. It's was great! Love at first drive! The outside looked fantastic minus a small chip in the hood where a rock had nicked her. And the interior was just as impeccable! Spotless carpet and not a scratch on the dash! We all know how rare that is lol. Needed some good elbow grease on the inside and it would be good as new! I didnt think I would have a chance in hell to afford her because I was going to keep my other car also. Either way. We went inside pulled up my credit looked at financling where my Caliber was through and we "came up with some numbers," as they say. Two options: one price for five years or for $10 more a month paid in four. It was obvious what I took. So she was officially mine after that!
A few days later I was asleep and a two guy knocked on my door. I got up and greeted them. When I was looking behind them to my driveway there was two cars. A 350z and... The red beetle I first went to look at! They said they were delivering it to the owner. They thought it was me for some crazy reason. I told them no and asked them the address where the owner lived and could try to help them. They rambled off some directions, not knowing the address, and a name. The mans name was Bj... My neighbor!!! He is an older man that live DIRECTLY infront of me!!! I was so excited to know that not only did know where the beautiful red bug was going but now that I knew where Chi Chi came from! Right infront of me!
I havnt been able to talk to Bj yet about his bug. But his son-in-law told me that he thought it was was amazing! And that Bj keeps tabs on me. Lol. Making sure Im taking good care of her. Petunia was her previous name. But my bestfriend, Shawntina(who will also be at ToD!), who was with me at the time insured that him that she couldn't be in better hands! And to pass the message on to Bj.
Seeing as it's getting warmer I plan on going over and seeing Bj here soon! Maybe I'll be able to get some pictures of them together! Sorry if this was a bit much or waste if time. I just love reading other peoples stories on how then got their beelte and I was wanting to share mine for quite a while since it was kinda unique too! Thanks everybody for listening! And being here me and my beetles for the last 3-4 years! Keep buggin'!!!
