So Ive read a few places about people getting their beetles birth certificates. Can you get them for any year beetle? How much do they usually cost? Thanks

Yes, you can get them for any New Beetle, they are free!

You call Vw of America, and they ask you for your Vin number and ask you some Questions!

I just did this a few days ago and to be honest with you, other than getting the birth certificate, if you are a new owner of a used car it's a GREAT way to get the new owner information updated without having to mail in that card. They updated my name, address, phone and email as the new owner.

I did this for my Smurfette and she is a 98 new to me lol.. Well I got her a year ago and did this a couple of weeks after I got her but have her bc at home in a frame. I had the lady at VW laughing when I told her the story of how Smurfette got her name and how the husbands best friend always sings the Smurfs song when he rides in Smurfette lol.. The lady from VW was really nice and said she loves to hear all the stories and different names lol..
