His name was "Dune Buggy" only because my boyfriend had started calling him that and it stuck. Before I knew it, I was saying "Hello Dune Buggy!" and "See you later Dune Buggy!" just to get a reaction from my boyfriend... He thought it was the funniest thing to see me talk to it...

but how could anyone resist talking to a beetle? i hug my steering wheel and kiss the logo before i get out of prudence if i'm going to be gone for any amount of time. i also find it difficult to not use baby talk when having a conversation with her.

Ya know, I saw your Versa's name just the other day- can't recall which thread it was. Anyhoo, I was saying to myself that Kit is a pretty cool name for your car... just discovered it- kinda late, I know.

It's short for Kitty ... since she is decked out in Hello Kitty gear it seemed appropriate to name her Kit.
