Question Naming my Beetle

I've had my Beetle a few months now and have not named her yet. Nothing seems to really be sticking.

My last car was an old Chrysler LeBaron convertible. I named her Lorelei. Lorelei Lebaron sounded like a great stripper name and she DID like to take off her top...

Anyway, when I first got the car it died 2 hours after I got it. I found out that a new alternator was just installed and they crossed a couple of wires, causing a short. Before I knew what was really wrong I was SURE I had just purchased a lemon...and my car IS yellow. As a joke a friend said "You should name the car Meyer" (A meyer is a kind of lemon.) HA HA, right? Well, I had thought about the name Myra, which is kind of a take on the word. But it didn't feel right.

Yesterday I had a thought of the name Betty. Bombshell Betty Beetle. But again, I'm not sure.

And what if the car is a HE?

Ideas? She/he is the color called mellow yellow, a soft butter color.

How about Donovan?
He recorded the song "Mellow Yellow".

That's a good one!
If he's a boy that is.

OOOH! That is a good one! The more I think about it, though, I feel like the car is a SHE. I'm not ruling it out, though.

What do you guys think about Brie? (type of cheese, kinda yellow)

Any other suggestions would be awesome!

How about Janice?
She's the mellow hippie singer chick from the Muppets, and she has yellow hair

I like to name my cars by the letter that their brand name starts with. For instance, my Isuzu Rodeo was Isabelle, and my Ford truck was Fernando. My Beetle is Vivian Viola Veedub.

So how about Vanessa? PS, I think she's a girl too. I knew right away that mine was. And great color!

Don't know if you remember that Janice was kind of a nudist. I remember one episode when Kermit yelled for quiet, everyone stops talking and you can hear Janice on the phone, "So what Mother, just because I like to go the beach and walk around naked...hee hee....
Soooo, seeings as you own a Vert, and it goes topless???
Very fitting I think.

Chiquita is my favorite name. If I had a yellow beetle, that's the name that i'd give Her.

You did mention butter- she does kinda have a buttery color. Now here's a few degrees of separation from the word butter...
How bout Dena...... Dena??? Well, Dena is the name of the actress who played "Mother Nature" in the Chiffon butter/margarine commercials from back in the day... Dena Dietrich to be exact.

How's that for a stretch

Oh yeah, big congrats on obtaining some dubbage

Geez, the first thing you should have done is check to see if she has BALLS. Then depending where those balls are at you could
either name her Betty Boob or Ron Jeremy.

You guys are funny! Silly me for not lifting the tail to check and see if it was a boy or girl!

I've been thinking about V names, and today when I was driving to work I was trying some out. Veronica is in the lead, it sounds a bit sassy. I could call her V for short!

Still not sure, though, it's a big decision!

I don't know about Veronica, Archie and Jughead may have something to say about that.
Perhaps you can name it Victor/Victoria. Then it can be either male or female

When I was a teenager we had two kittens that we named Archie and Veronica. A stray started hanging around that Archie was seen hanging around with, so we started calling him Jughead. We called Veronica Ronnie. She was the coolest cat!

Victoria sounds a wee bit stuffy to me, though it's a pretty name. MY Bug is a Turbo, so she needs a name that's a bit sassy or baddass

Maybe I should just name her after a sweater I have....Vera Wang. Get it? VW! okay, just kidding.

Your NB will tell you his/her name, only when he/she is good and ready!

Trust me.

You could name her Vanessa Wacky (VW) or Wacky Vanessa

Thanks for all the input!

Last night as I was driving home the name Kat popped into my head. I've always loved that name. Not sure if that is HER name, but we will see.

I'll keep you posted, as I am sure I have you thinking about this day and night.
