It goes on a small metal bracket that probably broke off when you had your little spill. Just zip tie it to something so it doesn't just dangle down there.

Doublecheck to see if this is the right grill for your car. It looks more like the one for the 1998-2001 models. They changed the design in 2002 to the new and improved grill that can actually be taken off with a few screws. Where did you get the grill from?

I think you need to visit Indiana in the winter
Well, this year so far we have been very very lucky. Above normal temperatures in the 40's almost every day in December.
Even some 50's thrown in for good meassure. I think we had one of the 10 warmest Decembers on record. Well, Our 40+ degree HEATWAVE will come to end on Monday when we jump from the mid 40's all the way to the single digits. Okay, the high will be 22 and the low 9 degrees. And it's suppose to stay like that for a while. Now that is the Indiana I know and not this Sauna like weather we've been having. Almost makes me believe I live in Florida

Thanks, but my first 7 years of my life in Philadelphia has indoctrinated me to the frigid north. I'll take Hoosier country in the spring/summer, thank you

I hear ya Tom, this Fall and Winter have been on the warm side. I think it's cyclical though. I remember back in my youth in central FL of some warm winters. Fret not my friend, i'm sure we'll have a hearty cold snap before the season is all over.

You have to make sure to line up the headlight with all three slots. It is a bit tricky but once you are lined up it should slide right back in.
What did you get pulled over for? Being too cute for your own good?

Just be gentle with it and don't force it. Make sure the lever is all the way up and once you get it to a certain point try and move the lever down a bit and at the same time push in your headlight a little more. YOu may have to wiggle it a bit.
And even if you are sure it is lined up it may not be. There are three slots where the headlight has to line up with and it is very easy to miss one especially the short one on the side.
Make sure that the electrical connection isn't in the way when you slide it back in. If you can't get it back in I guess I have to make a road trip to North Carolina

Yup, it's always the short ones. The long ones rarely are a problem Did you lube the plastic collar with some silicone spray? Mine was totally dirty and full of gritt. I removed it (3 screws) and then took it apart. Cleaned it, then lubed it and put it back together. Now it slides as smooth as butter. Not sure for how long since for some reason that area gets pretty dirty between bulb changes.
Try to spray a little bit of Silicone lube into the slide area and wiggle and pull that little thing until it slides down.
If the lever is still up the headlight isn't locked in place and can fall out which would be costly.
Good Luck! Have a great day!
