So, the Dark Flint literally sold 10 minutes after I got approved for my loan from the bank. I am going to look at another 05 but it's light blue...still convertible, but it's a 1.8 t. It has 70k on it, but that's still not awful. I'm going today and if i like it, i will be a NB owner tomorrow afternoon!!

I just bought a 2001 NB with 107,000 miles and yes the check engine light is on as well as the brake light to tell me they need replacing. I just replaced the front brakes but the light is still on. Took it to Advance and they hooked it up and said it probably just got hot and will stay on. The only issue I really have is the interior peeling. I have read the post here and will be trying different things to take care of that. I did research on NB for 6 months before I bought. I LOVE My Votrex Blue bug. I also have a freidn with a 98 NB and his check engine light goes on and off also.

You need to hook the car up to VAG-COM. Also, what was the CEL code(s)?
