Ok i just got done scouring the old forums you gave me noR. I will have an updated version posted on my page in the next hour or so. This list is getting huge.....fast! haha sweet!

///Edit\\\

I am currently restructuring the link page to cut down on the file size. I found a wonderful bit of Java code to implement the alternating row color client-side to I dont have to specify properties for each and every row. I also am working on creating a Java segment to handle the "Report Link" feature. These two bits should reduce redundant code significantly and hopefully improve the load time and decrease the size of this file.

///Edit\\\

Ok I got just finished the Java code to condense the "Report Link" feature's code. It shaved about 20k off of the file. I also restructed some of the visual formatting with CSS pages so that shaved another 8k or so off the file. As of right now only the "A" section will allow you to report the links. I have yet to modify the code for the other categories to co-incide with the new Java code. I will probably be able to finish that up tomorrow when I get home from work. I will also add a link count feature so you guys can see how many links are in there. I know it's not really important but I always like to know when I am looking at other websites because it helps me gauge how helpful of a resource it will be. If you guys come across any problems with the above mentioned features please let me know. I have been cross-platform testing the website in both Internet Explorer and FireFox to test the functionality of the Java code and from what I can tell right now, they are both accepting the code and performance is as expected. Took me about 6 hours, but I finally got the code to work in both!

Note:

I am also going to produce this in a program for users who prefer to have the link list at their disposal without having another window open. I will also distribute the raw Database file for those who want it. I cannot upload the physical HTML file until I find a program to convert it into a PDF because forum rules limit me to uploading only image files on a PDF file. So if any of you have a program that can do that or know of a program I can obtain for free that can do that I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

IMPORTANT!!!

I just got the link list converted into a PDF file thanks to Adobe and their online PDF converter. I only have a trial edition of this available so I will only make PDFs for the large updates.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

Updated section "B" and fixed a couple problems with "A". Slowly working my way down the list. Sorry if it doesnt move much faster than this, between 18 credit hours at school and working 35 hours a week I dont have much time to get to this except for on the weekends. Hopefully by saturday I will have all the new updates completed and a new PDF to post up here. I am also making slow progress on the database file and the ASP pages for when I find an ASP.Net server to host this on.

Again if you guys have any other links you would like on this list, or even any suggestions for the layout I will do my best to get that going for you.

Eventually what I would like to do is add an "About" page for each of the links as well as an applicable product list. This update may have to wait until I find an ASP.Net server as this would require a lot of disk space to make each of these pages for each link using tradition HTML coding.

After much deliberation as well as some heavy pondering I have acquired my own domain as well as hosting options. This hosting allows me the ability of using ASP.Net 2.0 framework applications. With this being said I am relocating my webpage to the following address:

http://buggin.gkauten.com/

Currently nothing has changed in terms of the content. I am still working all of that out. Right now however the links page has gone dynamic and seems to be functioning quite well. The organization is still lacking, but that will be changed as time presents itself. The other areas of Buggin will also start to fill in as time presents itself. My previous homepage still exists, but will start to slowly disappear. So for the time being the old website is still up and running, and I will make note of this on that webpage as well. I would like to thank the some 300 people who visited my old site as it gave me a new inspiration to actually invest in hosting.

I hope you all enjoy.

Thank you,

~Geoff Kauten

Just a suggestion, but you might think about lightening up the logo. That blue barely shows up at all against the black background.

Incidentally, landspeedmedusa.com is having a 30% off going-out-of-business sale. Some good deals to be had.
