Default New Beetle Link List

I am not too sure where this falls in terms of Forum classification, however I think this is the closest match for what I am looking for.

I am creating an extensive link list for New Beetle websites for my own personal website. I have gotten a few of the some what big websites however it is just the tip of the iceberg.

If you fellow NB lovers wouldnt mind sending me all the links you know I would greatly appreciate it.

If you would like to check out my website you can click the following link. The website is still under heavy construction and a majority of the content pages have yet to be built. I am still searching for an efficient and affordable means of image hosting. The "Contact" and "Links" pages however are fully functional at this time. Also if you are browsing the links page and happen to notice a link that does not work there is a link called "[Bad Link]" that you can click that will automatically send me an email letting me know this. It will take you to a confirmation page as well informing you that the notification was sent.

Buggin Mods

I know the title is rather close to the now-expired site called "Bug Mods" however it was not my intention to try to replicate their site. My NB's name is "Buggin" and thus the title "Buggin Mods" came about. I am thinking about changing it to "Buggin's Mods" just to limit the level of confusion caused by such.

Anyways, if any of you dont mind helping me out I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

There's a couple hundred or so to get you started. Feel free to clean'em up, cut out duplicates, test them, and put them in a post on these forums too.

i am going to clean these up and repost! i am also checking for duplicates and making sure all the links work. give me about 30 mins. this is a great idea.

finding a lot of dead links. still cleaning up. will repost soon. if someone wants to further break down the categories once i've reposted, feel free, and i'll delete my post.

Default links - cleaned up

here is the cleaned-up link list. i think the misc. section needs to be further categorized, and there are some NB / VW links we'd want to see missing, i am sure. but here it is. i'll work on cleaning, re-sectioning, etc. all links work, but not all these links are VW / beetle specific. it would be nice to have a little description after each link, noting what's being sold on the site (i'll volunteer). well, for the misc. section anyway!

maybe so we don't have 10 threads about this, let me know if there are additions, dead links in the future, and in the meantime, i'll work on getting short descriptions for each website.

Callisto9 & noR, you two are my lovers! Thats amazing! That was exactly what I was looking for. Eventually my link list will incorporate the products offered on these website and details about the company. However until I find affordable ASP.Net hosting I will have to stick with tradition HTML and a basic link list.

Callisto...I got through the first three sections. I will come back and clean it up some more tomorrow when I get back from Orlando. I will also add the other sections then as well. That really is a GREAT list. If you want to see those combined with the others that I had, check out 'Buggins' website in my signature. It is not the SoundDomain one but the one after that. Some of the pages are still under construction, but most of the interior, contact, and links pages are all functional right now.

Ok I got most of the links up there. I will come back tomorrow and finish adding them and clean up the rest. Check out my website in my signature to see how it's coming along.

I've made this thread sticky...

This is some great work and needs to be somewhere at the top of one of the forums, just not sure which one yet.

Great post. A sticky shall suffice for now, but perhaps it would even deserve it's own page someplace.

They all say "[Bad Link]" after them as described at the top of the link page. It is a link to report the link to me if it is no longer valid. What it does is sends me an email with the link name and link address so I can check it myself and then remove it or adjust it as neccessary. I need to clean it up some because right now it makes you think that the link itself has been labeled as "Bad" but really it is just the feature to report the link if it has problems. I am going to clean it up somemore when I finish adding all these other links and figure out a clean way to organize them all without being too confusing.

Ok guys I have all the previous links up on my webpage now. I also added custom color bars for the individual letters, and alternating row colors for each of the links in their respective alphabetical category. I also cleaned up the "Bad Link" feature and replaced it with a "Report Link" feature to make it more understandable and a cleaner layout. If you guys have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

At this point the link page is not for faint internet connections as the page is about 60kb, I know some slower connections take some time to view files over 30kb.

I have been doing internet searches and reading through misc tuner mags I have all day long. I have found about 20 or so more links to put up on my website. Once I have made a pretty conclusive list I would like to put it up here, but I think the easiest way to do that would be if I could post in HTML so if anyone has any ideas on how I would do that...I think it may be a Mod feature but I am not sure.
