If you have a stock U.S.-spec NB, there is no "alarm", persay. Not in the traditional sense that the Auto Train is probably leary of (ie - one with motion and impact sensors). It's simply central locking, with an alarm if the door is opened while it's locked.
Simply don't lock the door. Problem solved. And if they take the key and lock the door, they'll have to use the key to unlock it... which will also deactivate the alarm. Unless someone is breaking into the car, it should never go off. I don't know a way to completely disable even the door ajar alarm. If they insist on it, just unplug the horn.
As for the interior light... yes, it should eventually go out, even with the key in the ignition. But, heck, there's a simple way to be sure... just stick the key in the ignition while it's sitting in your driveway... and see if the light goes out. If not, then simply turn it off manually (for coupes, that means rocking the light fixture to one of the other positions so that the lights don't come on when the door is open... for 'verts, that just means flipping the light switch on the rearview mirror).
