My early '98 has been very reliable, but she only has 60K on her!

I just helped one of my friends' mom pick out a brand new Rav in Barcelona Red and I must say its SOOOO nice. The 4 cylinders still get GREAT gas mileage and there is plenty of room inside for passengers to ride comfortably while carrying some cargo.

That sucks about your Beetle... I'm really liking mine but it is new and has low miles, etc. I just had to replace the tranny in my Ford (to the tune of $3,000 due to the poor GBP {British pound} rate to the $) and I know how disheartening it can be to deal with car shops. Have you thought about taking it to a non-dealership auto garage for repairs? I found reputable ones in the US and the UK, and saved some money.

New cars are great, too, though. I wish you luck and happy driving whatever you decide.

Well its official. I took delivery of my new 2005 Honda Accord on 6/1/06. I almost cried when I cleaned out my NB and gave up the keys to the dealership But unfortunately, I needed something reliable because I do work full time and I go to school. I will miss my beetle
I got a great deal on my Accord. It was $20,998 and I got 7k for my NB, so it brought it down to like 14k and I got the extended warranty so it brought the price up to 16K. Not bad for an 05 Accord EX with 18k miles on it
I will check in with you guys every know and then. Take care! I guess I need to change my screen name now

I did the exact same thing when I bought my xB. You have to remember CyberGreen is coming off a frustrating four months of service hassles. It's only natural to want to protect your assets and sanity.

Two years after selling my Bug, and only six months after buying the xB I'm considering cancelling my extended warranty. I just can't seem to pull the plug just yet.

I think extended warranties are crap too....BUT..they really make you feel good about the HUGE amount of cash that you just paid for something. I think they are more for peace of mind than anything else. I am going to go buy all the appliances and furniture to fill my new house this week and I wont get extended warranties on anything this time---Even though my brain wants me too

Thank you!! I had to deal with alot and I just want to make sure I am fully covered this time.

Those Scions are really cool cars! I was hoping CarMax would have had a TC, but they didn't have any. I am SUPER happy with my Accord. It is so nice and I still can't believe I have this car!

$2k is quite a bit for the warranty. Try this official Honda warranty site to see whether you got a decent deal or not. http://www.hondacarewarranty.com/. You can get a Honda Warranty no probs with a year old car at this mileage.
You will like the reliability factor of your Honda. I have 2 (CRV and an Element), along with the Beetle and swear by their reliability.

Sorry to hear about your beetle problems. Whatever you do, you're still family here and you have a place chit chat and hopefully smile toward better days.
