Wow...I got a wave today!!!

I was in the Safeway parking lot in Renton today, and ran across a concept color rave green NB. Girl said "I really love your bug!!"

Anyone here know who she might be? I think I'm in love.

I met my mom and a friend(the one with the Golf TDI) for dinner earlier tonight. Whenever I park somewhere I hope there's another Beetle and a space to pull in beside it. What do you know, there's a 05 yellow NB and a space next to it in the parking lot. My mom and our friend weren't there yet, so I hung out for a bit next to my car and took a pic on my cell phone of Daisy and her yellow friend. I tagged it too. Pretty soon here comes a woman and the NB is hers!! She wanted to know about my tint job, and she said she waves at other NB drivers but doesn't usually get any response. Her NB is a 2.0 and she said she would definitely look up the org. We had a great time talking and that made my day!! YAY!

the first day we got our bug, we went on base to get gas (its cheaper), and 3 bugs waved at us or honked. we were like "wow we're in the secret alliance!" feels good that people are paying attention to their surroundings, and not concentrating on themselves!

Sunday I was on my way home and saw a blue bug up ahead. I finally caught uo to it and the girl driving it was waving and grinning very enthusiasticly! I gave her a big wave and grin back. It totally made my day!

I was driving today next to and behind a white beetle. She wasn't a nice lady. Her gas tank was popped up. So I stopped next to her and rolled down my window, she saw me and i was trying to get her to roll down her window and she was all like i don't see you, so i left her alone after that. Guess a beetle can't make everyone nice.

Today I had a full school bus load of middle age school kids waving at me/Zoomer. Weird. But, I waved back.

And on Sunday this last week ... an older man in an old beat up station wagon stopped next to me at a light and honked. I was a bit nervous to look over but, I did ... he rolled down his window and I mine and he asked me how much 'those Volkswagens run'. (cost) ... I told him between 17 and 30 new. :O He said thank you and told me I have a very nice bug. Then the light changed. :P

A long time ago I came to the realization that of the original colors through 2000, 3 of them were the most friendly and 3 of them were the most unfriendly . Quite obviously, none of the unfriendly drivers were .org members.


Anyway, today I'm 2 for 2 - a very clean charcoal-gray nb and a real SWEET (showcar quality) green ob!! Don't waves just make your day?!!?

I grinned from ear to ear and said why thank you, it's what made me buy the car He said what is it called & I told him. He smiled and waved as he went to his car. Made my crappy day oh so much better

So I didnt get a wave from another beetle but when i pulled up to the ATM today to get money the cutest little girl was sitting in the backseat... she turns around and suddenly waves to me it was so cuteeeeeeee

anyways she then turns around and punches the woman in the front seat and preceeds to point back to my bug

I saw an Orange Bug next to me today on the road...
I tried to stay next to her long enough to get her attention, but she wouldnt look.
I contemplated honking at her...but I think she would have thought I was crazy.
O.o
Oh well!

Does any one else find that when they go into a parking lot, they are looking for another V-Dub to park next to?

They said
"Oh look at the little blue buggie!"
it made me smile...
and rev my engine!

I usually park my ringo as har away from others as possible, like at work I am at the end of the super huge walmart parking lot. Man, at 11 at night after working for 9 hours straight in my feet I don't enjoy the walk back but its worth it. If I am just running in somewhere and I see a bug I will park next to it. I was in a store the other day and I saw a bug sitting in the spt right infront and I thought about leaving the store early to drive be them since people where waiting in the car but I didn't. I like to park next to other bugs but I just feel that in the 9 hours I work somebody else would park next to ne after that bug and I can't take that chance. One day I found a beetle parked why out with no one around. So I parled next to it and I was really happy. My boyfriend won't park next to other beetles when they are in the row.

This gal in a Black Jetta looks over at a stop light and waves of couse I waved back.... Wasn't a Beetle, oh well

I peace signed a Salsa Red 2006 yesterday, and she beamed at me, and peaced me back. I am sure I made her day, as she made mine. (I was in my Passat)

WHAT A DAY! WHAT A DAY!
I have never gotten a wave or more then a quick look in my beetle, well today i was starting thru the intersection after a red light i noticed a black beetle much like my own in the turning lane on the other side so i started forward slowly and was grinning at the man driving and he gave me a nod with a big grin and I was thrilllleeed! Then when I was in the turning lane moving up to turn i noticed another black beetle so i drove by reeeaaallll slow and the lady driving glanced over and then did a double take and smiled then she shot me a peace sign! Rock on! I was soo thrilled! So excited!!! Feeling the beetle love!
