Today Has Been A Good Beetle Day

Today was a great new beetle day! we had lunch withe the family and spotted a 2012

then i had to make a last minute trip to walmart and i was beetle stalked.

and on my way home i decided to stop and get some food and the girl at the window said she just got a new beetle

Went to McDonalds for the first time in months to get a SHAMROCK SHAKE!!

Saw three Beetles on the four mile drive there...two yellow, and a blue one. All New Beetles. It was a good Beetle day.

I gave Cup a well deserved wash/wax/detail, followed by our monthly B4B- Bugs for breakfast meet. It was too awesome to hang out with some awesome beetle folk.

Later in the day, I finished painting Cup's chin splitters- had to do some repair and refreshing.

Today was a good beetle day.

Cup's repairs are done from the collision center (Cup vs. car battery ejected from a fish-tailed pickup truck), and she's now home.

Reunited and it feels so good.

Today was a great Beetle day!! I am officially getting my '06 NB convertible (Lucy) back from my daughter this weekend. My daughter has been driving her for about a year. We needed to do some car switching in the family and I was ok with letting my daughter have her. I have been driving the family Suburban since then. My daughter took the car with her to college last fall. She hasn't given the car the TLC that I did. I have found myself loooking sadly at other Beetles on the road & wishing I had my car back. Much to my surprise when I asked my daughter if we could work our cars around to get my Beetle back to me she said, "no problem!" I can't wait to drive it again! Just had to share my happy news with people who would understand!! Thanks!!!

Just came back from a drive to the city to get a few things I forgot from the shopping list. Damn it's a good beetle day! My bug is one repair away from being back to as close to factory as it has been in 7 years and it feels it. The drive was sweet.

Took my new Beetle, Gretel to the ice cream store one county over and drove the back roads. My husband and I dropped the top and spent the drive smiling in the sunshine.

It was a 2 beetle good day yesterday...took a road trip with both bugs from VA to OH and back. Approx. 1000 mi. round trip. On the way back we took the scenic route through the mountains of WV and VA. It was a great drive...sun shining...moonroof open and some very nice scenery combined with light traffic...good times.

Honestly it was the first time in a long time that I've enjoyed an 8 hour drive...

Here's a few- all took place with the past few days:

1. Went to gas up Cup on Thursday. Dude (not Lebowski) approached my car and said...
"Now that's a beetle. I've seen many beetles around, but yours is a beetle to me. Nice job man"

2. Yesterday (Saturday), had a great trip to Orlando for a Bugs for Breakfast GtG with the Orlando crew. Cup is still riding great.

3. Went to the local bank to deposit a little cash in the ATM. As I was finishing up my transaction, a few skateboard kids were tooling around the parking lot. As I drove past the kids, they said into my rolled down window. "I like your bug". Pretty cool
