Today was a good beetle day and then a bad beetle day and then good again. It started out with me driving through the neighborhood at 5 mph because about ten kids and one adult where biking down the street and I don't know how you don't hear a car with a blasting stereo coming up behind you. Anyhow i was getting annoyed at this but i turned the corner to get away from them and when i do one of the kids yells NICE CAR so i laughed and cruised away. Later that day I nearly got cutoff by a newer silver bug and i guess she thought i would just stop for her since i was a bug too Well whatever, so i pull into the other lane to get next to her and we stop at a red with her backend lined up with my front end so I'm looking at her bug and she looks back at me and i smile and she rolls up her window and continues to drive like a jerk until i lose site of her. But later at my favorite store (the liquor store) Ringo parked next to a navy blue vert. It was a nice one, so the day ended on a positive note.

Nope, just another motorist. Bleh, lol.

I've had some pretty good Beetle days. I don't remember dates but it's been in the last few months.

1. Had a crappy day at work. Took mail to the post office and received a wave from a woman in a bright red NB as I was exiting onto the road.

2. Went to get gas, station was packed. I was waiting for a pump to become available. A lady in a black NB honked and waved me over, she was done filling hers up

3. Another gas station adventure. Pulled up to a pump that was directly across from a black NB. It was being filled up but the owner went into the store. As I was filling up BeBe an older gentlman approached me and started asking me questions about mine. he was owner of the black one. He had nearly 80K miles on his (2003) and have NO problems with it. He said he was thinking of picking up a black 2007 NB, but wasn;t sure because he only had 2 payments left on his 2003.

But this....THIS is the ultimate GOOD BEETLE day in my book:

Late on submission, but this happened to me this past Thursday.

I pulled into gas up Buttercup, and as I did, a real nice air-cled bug was pulling out; He saw me and I blew my horn in return. As Cup and I pulled to the pump, a dude who owned a Ford pickup exited the store and approached me as I was going in. I said hey to him, he looked at me and said "that's a real nice bug". Of course I said thanks. After fueling, I proceeded down San Jose Blvd. and as I did, there was a larger than usual number of NB's out and about, several who did wave as I flashed my lights.

a Good Beetle Day indeed.

I just bought my bug not even a month ago and I pulled in to a store parking lot and saw these 2 high school kids looking at my car and they both said slug bug at the same time. I was soo excited.

A very funny 'Good Beetle Day', this Labor Day.

I've got the Labor Day vittles working on the Smoker, and while the meat is smoking, I decided to knock another mod off the list- black out the headlight surround. I decided to take a break while the paint is drying and come inside. While I was washing my hands, Val, the wife-unit, asked me what I was doing. Of course I told her. So out of the blue, she said..

"man your car is slowly turning into Christine".

I've got a good laugh off of that and made my day

Cup is bad and all, but she's not evil

Last night I was crawling around the parking look for that space where no other car may get near my ringo when i see a bright blue bug with a space next to him and the median on the other side, could there be a better spot???? I don't think so!!! Then this morning when I am driving a little ways up I spot a bug driving along. So i catch up and we carabugg and i get next to her several times AND SHE NEVER LOOKS OVER!! Not once, never looked at me or ringo!!! HOW RUDE! She did seem to make efforts to stay near us but she never loked at us at a red light. Still I really enjoyed having a friend to drive with ALL THE WAY HOME! Driving in a bug, very nice, driving your bug alongside another bug, EXCELLENT!!

Today has been a VERY good Beetle Day.

Waiting to make a left turn on my way to work, I saw a turbo silver NBC heading the way I was waiting for. My light finally turned green, and I sped, as much as I dared, trying to find and catch up. Spotted it turning onto the freeway as I was, and he bolted for the fast lane. I caught up, and we carabugged. I then noticed why he was bolting into the fast lane: In front of him was another NBC, Galactic Blue, (not converting, 'tho)! We three carabugged for several miles, smiles everywhere. Finally, I had to take another freeway, so I changed lanes, and passed them. The silver people waved and smiled, the Galactic gal didn't even look.....

Oh, well, we just used her to have our own fun.

It was a good Beetle Day.

On my way in today, I looked in my rear view and saw another Sundown Orange Beetle driving behind me. She stayed behind me until we had to go in different directions and then we waved and smiled.

Totally made my day!

Last night my hubby and I went out to get a bite to eat. When we came out there was an orange NBC parked on my left and a blue NB on my right. Best dessert ever

I am the one who usually does that! I would absolutely faint, if I came out and saw my car surrounded by NB's!

That truly IS a good Beetle Day!

And you without your camera

Looking forward to having one of those 'surrounded by beetle' moments.

Don't feel too bad. It seems when I leave my Kodak C643 at home, the photo ops show up. I need to mod-up my cell phone for a camera phone for moments like that.

Saw this post by Smileybug and thought it worthy of a good beetle day posting.....

I hesitated but of course I said yes!! I have never driven a turbo before. Only car with significant power was my bf's vr6 that I drove a few times. Needless to say, I fell in love. The power I could feel through my feet, the noise of the engine/turbo....just...AHHHHHH! I was glowing the rest of the night

Just wanted to share my story. Because I now see why everyone loves those cars. And I have fallen in love with them too <3

Today was yet another good Beetle Day.

On the freeway on the way to work today, in the rearview was the unmistakable headlight setup of a New Beetle. I noticed that it was coming up on me fast, as if catching up. They then passed me, waving like the crazy people that we are. We carabugged a little longer, and said goodbye when they exited. The pair in the NB were older women.

Here is the car.

Had an nudder one

On my lunch break, I stopped to get Cup the usual- 93 octane. While I was fueling up, some dude walked up to me and Cup, just fawning over my girl and her headrests. He gave me much props for the work i've done on Cup. He himself is an owner of a Scirocco- a very nice one too. Inquired of him on VWVortex and the JaxDubs club- he is a member of neither. Encouraged him to meet up with us for the Thursday night meet, followed by hand shakes and we parted ways.

It was cool to get props from a non-beetle VW owner, especially one as nice as his.

Also on the way home, with windows down, A little hottie noticed Cup and i dirving past her as she was walking to her Apt., and did a double take as we drove by. Take that "it's a chick car" crowd- Heh, I guess your right
