Today was a rather short NB day but it was a great one! It was a very hot and muggy Saturday today. We had a club meeting late in the afternoon so we hung in the house until we had to bail at about 2:30. I stopped to fuel up and across the street sat a pretty little red NB in a restraunt parking lot. After we gassed up, I cruised across the street for a pic and a tag. This was my first TAG with the new cards you designed for me Al. Thanks so much. It was a thrill. Now we wait to see if they bite. I have a pocketful of tags and am bound to drag someone on here.
 Anyway, during the drive into the meeting, we saw 3 more NBs on the street. After the meeting several of us ran a caravan into downtown Tulsa for dinner. Jacob was with us so that made 4 NBs so far. We were with good friends and Lily was running life a champ. Life was excellent!  After dinner we went our seperate ways. I spied another NB in a parking lot. This one had a zebra paint job so I couldn't resist. We had to stop for another pic. As we left this stop, we discovered we were cruising along with a very happy couple in a nice vert. We cruised along for a few miles and then went our seperate ways as well. It was a great afternoon. Had a great drive, made my first official tag, saw 6 nice NBs and cruised for a few with a couple we have never spoken to but are definitely NB friends.  A good Beetle Day for sure. Heres a pic of the happy vert folks.

Had a couple of Good Beetle Days latley. Thursday past, I stopped by this company, that always has this red nB sitting out in their parking lot. Apparently they work there; it's been there for at least 6+ months. So I said, the next time i go by there (one of my deliveries was across the street), I would stop by there and tag them one on one. So Thursday, I stopped by, and went inside. The lady inside asked if she could help me. I asked who owned the red nB. She said curiously, alomst cautiously, Why? I assured her that nothing was wrong, and proceeded to tell her about me and Cup and the org. She was thrilled to hear that there were other beetle nuts around, especially in our area- Jacksonville. She's pretty cool and she gets it. She too waves and it bums her out when others don't. She desires to be involoed in GTG's as well. So we went on for a while an we were getting carried away with beetle excitement. So she said I better go before she gets in trouble
 I gave her an org tag and encouraged her to check us out. Lo and behold, before I could get home and check my org-mail, I had a PM.... from a NEW ORGER. Her screen name is, xsweetsherriesx. So guys click on her profile page and give her some love and make her welcome.Tonight I mad a run to Sonic. It was and still is hot, even at 10:18p.m. Anyhoo while waiting for my slush to come to me, one of the car hops stopped by to see me and Cup "I just wanted to tell you that I really like your car". Of course I told the sweet girl thank you. Cup has been getting a lot of love as of late. After 9 years, she's still got it  Today has been a good beetle day

Today was a Good Beetle Day for me.
I had just cleaned up my Bug this weekend and today after work I made my usual stop at the local Circle K. In front of me in line were a mother and teen aged daughter. When I came out to my car, there they were taking pics of the bug on their cellys. They asked a lot of questions and gave me props for the Bug. They said they always wanted one. I told them about the Org. and they were amazed and would check it out. It made my day!

This past Thursday I got props from a dude about the size of John Coffee (Michael Clarke Duncan). I pulled into the CVS and there he was in a buick. He says "when you're done with that bug, i'll be glad to take it off your hands". We yuckked it up for a minute and told him about Cup and how roomy she is. It's cool to get props from the men folk!

A couple weeks ago I filled up with B20 and one of the guys from the station/fuel wholesaler goes by and says "that's a sharp looking Bug!" I said thanks and he asked if it's new and what kind of mileage I get. Before I filled up I was at my mechanic after he'd replaced the timing belt and water pump. He said my Beetle is one of the cleanest NBs he's worked on and the paint looks really good.
 Talk about knowing how to compliment a girl!So that day was a really good Beetle day.

Yesterday was a good beetle day.
I found out i got voted 'Best Car' for my senior class! One of my friends drives his dad's boxster, so i think that's saying something! I gotta get a really sweet shot of it for the year book though
