I don't think i've ever gotten so many comments on my bug in one day!

I had counselor training today for a camp that my school does, and when I got there, another girl goes, "I love your bug!!! It's so cuuuute!"

Later, a boy was told me, "Your car is sweet. I've never been a fan of bugs, but I saw you cruisin' with the top down the other day..." after that, he talked a little more about how great he thinks Sally is.

Finally, I was sitting parked with the top down waiting to leave. A couple girls walked by and told me how they loved my car and that it wasn't 'fair' that I had her.

had four codes, cleared 'em all.

test drive around the area...up to 70-ish or so on the freeway.

no codes...it is a good beetle day!

Great Beetle Day here in KC too! Top down, driving the highway, soaking in the sun for my Vitamin D!

I had the couple at church today say "What a cute car" and yesterday a friend got to ride with me to the fabric store and back to work. Since we won't have rain until Friday, I'll keep the top down until then.

She really needs a bath, but it will have to wait until the weekend. It's hotter than normal this time of year, but I'm not complaining as we had one of the longest, snowiest winters on record.

I'm playing around with the name, "Annie". But I haven't decided for sure. When I do, I'll get the birth certificate and then lettering for the front side (like Bluebonnet). Can't wait.

I have so enjoyed my NBC. I'm the only mom in the school parking lot with such a fun car!

Yesterday was an incredible beetle day. I drove my husbands new nbc on a glorious spring day with the top down.

I always said when I grew up I was getting a convertible. So I guess I'm finally grown up (I suppose it's his car though so maybe he's grown up and I still have to wait a bit?)

That's worthy of a post on the "i got a wave today" thread

On the way to pick up some dinner for me and the wife-unit, I was driving on the Arlington expressway about to cross the St. Johns river via the Matthews Bridge. Right as I was getting on the bridge, with Cup's windows down, I passed another car, just minding my own business. All of a sudden as I passed said car, I hear a couple of ladies yell "nice car"! I blew Cup's horn as I drove past them. Coolness

And to top off my good beetle day. I thought I needed to replace Cup's Hall/Cam sensor- she was running like garbage today. Popped the hood and it was just that somehow Her connector come off. Popped it back on.... She's running like an outlaw!

A good beetle day indeed

I loved it a couple of weeks ago when I was headed back to work after dropping my son off after school and two middle school kids were walking home and saw me and just started waving and smiling!

I made a quick stop at the gas station to grab a bottle of water after track practice yesterday and just left the top down when I parked. Sally was parked in the spot right by the door, and as I came back out, and nice man coming in said, "Is that your convertible? That's alright!!"

this past weekend was the spring car show classic in my home town (one of the biggest car shows in the area) and on my way to my motorcycle class sunday morning, i saw a red nb with a white lemans stripe on the passenger side in the show care area of the fair grounds, if i was on my way to class i would have stopped in and talked to the person while trying to convince them to join the org. Then about 2 miles later, i got "stuck" behind a yellow tdi that had been converted to bio-diesel. I thought about how cool that has to be. after that i had come to the conclusion that no matter what, today was a good day. and that it had, i passed my motorcycle skills test and saw 2 sweet nb's.

Today was my first day of Census training in Hermosa Beach, we were all going to lunch, I see a silver beetle parked in the parking lot I was in, a Gecko Green parked on the street, a Cyber Green (Fiona's IDENTICAL twin with spoiler and all, great paint job too), a parked white one and yellow one in the same parking lot, a parked blue one, another parked yellow and a yellow driving away

That makes 8 beetles within a matter of 5 minutes of leaving the training building what a GREAT day

Default M.O.A.G.B.D= the mother of all good beetle days!

Wow oh wow wow wow!

An incredible good beetle day!!!

I stopped by Starbucks to get some frapps for the admins. Now this particular Starbucks has this techno(?) blue nB parked there; it's been there for a while- guess it's an employee. So as I pay for the frapps, they tell me to pull around the corner and someone will bring them out to me. I hear them say as I pull off "it's the black beetle"...Cool. Anyhoo, dude comes up to me to give me the frapps and He was stoked beyond words. Come to find out that it was HE who was the owner of the blue nB. So of course I gave Him an org tag, told him about TOD- Cup still had her ID badge hanging from the rearview. He continued to say how much He was admiring Cup as I was pulling around. He says He's gonna join the org AND he says that he has several other beetle friends he hangs with and He's gonna spread the word to them!... all beetle dudes!!!

It get's better

So on the way home from work, I stopped at Food Lion to grab a few things- Happened to run into my wife there, so i didn't have to go in. As i was chatting with Val, I noticed a 2k silver nB behind her. She heads home and I head to Cup to grab a org tag. As I approach the silver nB I notice a dude approaching the bubbled sweetness. YES!!! it was the dudes bug!!! I started conversation with him, propped him on his nB and gave Him an org card. Come to find out that He's seen Cup around town quite a bit and has admired Her. He says He's checked out the org, but hasn't joined. I stressed that He needs to sign up, especially that He wants to do some things to his Beet.

So today I did some first-person tagging ... And they were all beetle dudes!!! Power to the beetle boyz!

it's been a good new beetle day

Thank ya dear.

It was indeed a good beetle day.

It's been discouraging for me as far as the Jacksonville new beetle scene. Some of the orgers have moved, sold their nB's- (Des is still here...WOOT!)and others sold and have fallen away. Basically, I feel like a lone wolf. In one day, the Jacksonville org and new beetle scene has blown up to even bigger numbers than my younger years as an orger.

And the cool thing is I know where one orger works, so if I don't see him here, I know where to find him

I went through the drive through this morning to get breakfast and the girl at the window asked why my bug as angry. I looked at her funny (I was still pretty tired and not understanding what she meant), and then she said because of the "slits" my bug looks angry and she thought it was funny. I realized she meant the eyelids and I laughed. I told her that was the point, he was tired of being called cute! lol

The other day I had someone compliment the flower and butterflies in my bud vase.

And I love my vortexers! They are so excited to see what I do to Probie next. I told them about the wheels and 5 speed coming. They are purposefully post-poning the GtG so that I can get the work done and they can see the finished result! haha....man I love those guys! They have the bug-love!
