Thanks for the link. FYI, though. If your car isn't new or certified pre-owned, you have to pay $30 for 3 years. And the lady on the phone said she wasn't quite sure what the free gift was. I think I'll do it when pay day rolls around.

The free gift isn't woth $30.00.
But maybe the $30.00 includes more, i don't know.

You also get the VW Driver magazine and special offers and such. I dunno. I think it's just cool to be in the VW Club. How awesome does that sound?

I agree even without the small gift i'd be happy just to receive the magazine.

I became a member of the Dodge club when I had my Dakota. The gift they sent me was a 24 can size soft-sided cooler. (I was expecting a keychain or something like that) It is without a doubt the best softside cooler I have ever owned, and the price was right.

My free gift was a set of coasters in a aluminum round VW case and the coasters were paper-esq and featured the Touareg.

VW called me back today and wanted $30 for 3 years but didn't tell me what i got for this. Thought it was a bit steep as a new owner - I would have expected a free subscription for a year at least.

what are the benefits of joining the club? other than the one free gift and the magazine? anything else??

I remember looking through that section on the website after i got my car.. there's discounts and stuff you can get (kind of like AAA, but not as many. that sort of thing..) I was hoping they had Disney, but only Universal Studios. hehe.
