Anything free with purchase?

Hi!

Just wondering if anyone has ever managed to get anything free with their purchase? And if so what did you get? I am trying to see if they will throw in anything free, I am paying over $26,000 and I have referred my boyfriend to the same company so he will be spending something like $18,000 on a rabbit.

Usually free with your VW purchase is a good chance at receiving dealer service ignorance.

Back in 1998 when I bought a NEW VW, I had free services for quite some time, above the amount that VW required. I kept driving out to the dealership because they always took care of me. Other then the "free car wash" I have gotten discounted services for my loyalty and free wiperblades sometimes lol


On the other hand, my best friend bought a new Jetta a couple years back and got free monster mats and a stelar price on the car as well.


My other friend did the free ipod with beetle promotion back in the early 2000's and that was cool.

hahaha, this is starting to sound depressing. Maybe others have some better stories!

I asked for and got a VW hat! Ask for what you would like to have, monster mats, some other accessories. If they say no, gently remind them of your referral. What the delaer will "throw in" is negotiable, just like the price of your cars.

And if they still say no, when you and your boyfriend pick up your cars, make sure there is nothing with the dealer's name, like license plate frames, stickers left on your new babies. If there are, take them off, or make the dealer take them off and give them back.

Why should you be providing free advertisements for the dealer? I would do this no matter what.

All I got some additive but I got really good price. My dealer charged me $50 over KBB, It didn't surprise me though. My NB was the 10th vehicle my family has bought from them, 3rd for me. When my Mom bought her Mazda 6 there, they knocked a couple thousand off the price and threw in some extras.

Oh, and there was a VW pen in with the users manual

Nothing with the 2002 Turbo S that we ordered.

With 2003 TDI, we got a VW duffle bag full of VW goodies, my favorite of which was the fleece VW vest. There were cookies, coasters, playing cards, tee shirts, assorted little things, not to mention the VW duffle itself!

Nothing with the 2005 NBC, but they did give us a discount on Monster mats.

We received, free, a nice set of beige mats with "Turbo" embroidered in dark blue on them, $2,000 off sticker and no hassle during the purchasing process! Woo Hoo!

Hey all!

Thanks for all the replies! I cant belive that after spending thousands of dollars that they dont throw in more expensive free stuff! I have no chance of getting what I wanted free then lol!

When my friend got her mini, they threw in a bag of mini goodies, knocked a thousand off the price, filled it with a full tank of gas, gave her a huge boquet of flowers, and some other stuff!!

I will keep my fingers crossed, asked the dealer, waiting for a reply!!!

Not only did I not get anything. They forgot the bud vase.

Guess that's what happens when you buy a car from Manchester VW. Oh wait.. They gave me a tank of fuel..

Well I am not getting what I wanted but they will give me $200 rebate for going with them, and $100 for referring my boyfriend (providing he buys the car!) and a price of $25,995 for a NBC 2007, with package 2. So this seems good!

Just anoying I have to wait so long! And I dont get the joy of seeing hardly any in England!I drove all the way to London from Bristol, and all around London and back to Swindon, all through Swindon, and then to Bristol and around Bristol, in total 12 hours of driving and I only got to see 4 NB's and 2 NBC's and most of those was when I looked around a VW dealership!! And they didnt even have any bugs on show that I could play in, they were tucked around the back, all dirty! No fair!!
