well, it appears that they sold the car out from underneath me. The saleswoman said she put sold on it and hid it in the back til i could pick it up saturday...called today and she said that someone else was in financing. i did all of that yesterday.. needless to say. i'm pissed off

Keep looking! You'll find one. Have you tried eBay or AutoTrader? I found my first one on AutoTrader.

Where are you located? If you're anywhere near me I know of a few for sale. I'm not sure if any are TDIs though. There is a REALLY nice cyber green '03 color concept here in south Georgia for 16k (50k mi, auto, NICE). I would also check on the org to see if anyone is selling it on here.

What a bummer! It probably wasn't meant to be. You'll find the perfect bug soon enough! I second the Autotrader idea. I found several in my area that were exactly what I was looking for and I was able to get a screaming deal.

sorry to hear that the dealer sold the car when they had told you to come get the car. just keep looking. i'd be leary about buying a vehicle from ebay though, log onto vw.com and search for certified new beetles in your area.

whenever i got my nb, the used auto dealership had the car for a month on the rack and i then i didn't see it for a while-they had it in the shop apparently. i saw beetlebug sitting back out on the lot and insisted to my husband that we look at the car again-the car was unlocked and i got in it, knew i had to have it.

my husband agreed that i could trade my t-bird in for the nb if the price was around 11k. they wanted 13k for it when i went to talk to the dealer and weren't going to give me much on trade-in. i tried to get the price down, the dealer went to talk to the manager, i called my hubby on his cell, told him the price they wanted for the beetle and what they were going to give us on trade-in,and he told me to get up and leave, that was too much for the beetle. so i left in tears almost. i went on line and went to the dealership later that night and checked out the beetle again, they had the price down to 11k. i was estatic and begged my husband to let me go trade so i could drive the beetle home. he said no. so i pouted for 2 days and the dealer finally called and told me to come sign the papers. the dealer freaked out when i walked out on them, knowing how much i wanted the beetle. beetlebug is a 2001 Turbo GLX and had 37k miles on him when i finally drove him home. lol. the pic of me and beetlebug is at the dealership, they took the scary photo of me and handsome beetlebug the day i drove him home.

there are quite a few for sale in my area, don't know where you are in the us of a, but i'm sure if there are as many newbeetles for sale in my little rinky dink town, you will find one and you'll know it's the beetle 4 u!

isnt it sad that the 01 beetles do not come with cd players?? I just updated my 01 with an alpine and changed my front two door speakers installed for 750 soon to change the other two, but spending a lil extra helps the sound quality and the feeling of driving your 01 NB
