Default 2002 White 1.8 Turbo

Hello everyone.
I am so happy to see so many active people here.
I have a question.
I recently bought a used beetle. Its 2002 GLS with almost 80,000 miles.
The problem is, after about a week the engine service light came on and I went to get it checked; it turns out there are 9 codes read! They were all different injectors and others.
I really trusted the dealership, I am devastated. I don’t even have warranty!
Any good advice?

Welcome Nilya10, to the Org!

Did you happen to know what those codes were? If Not, your mechanic should have wrote them down.

Simple answer. Don't take your car to a dealership for service. Find a trusted VW repair shop in your area and have them do the service.

same similar thing happend to me with my bug but my speedometer started acting all goofy and I went back to them and told them the problem and how unsafe it was to find out that they already KNEW the problem! I would complain and see if they will fix it, they are fixing mine for free good luck let us know what happens

I think the biggest factor that comes in to play is how long ago did you buy the car? If it was within 30 days, I would say they're almost obligated to fix it this once for little to no charge. However, if there truly was no warranty implied what-so-ever, they are under no obligation to repair it (though I think that's highly unethical.) I'd try talking to the dealer especially if it's a VW dealer and see what they'll do for you. The dealer where I live has an awesome service department (but sometimes it takes a while to get them to do anything).

Bummer about the codes. As stated above, be sure to get the codes so you can post them here and we'll be able to help! Free of charge.
Although becoming a member sponser is cool, too.

I'd get on the phone with them and tell them that you gave them the codes a week ago and you need to know what's going on and if it's serious. If no response, call again the next day. Anytime my car has been in the shop (unless they have told me it will be a few days), I will call every day to check the progress, etc. Not to necessarily bug them but to let them understand that I need my car back and that slow service is unacceptable.
