New VW Owner from Ga!
Hey guys, new VW owner from Ga and glad to be here. I technically bought it for my wife but she will have to share.
 This beauty is a 2001 1.8t GLS with just over 56k.  I plan on having the windows tinted asap and upgrade the radio(didn't come with a cd player). Other than that I'm up for suggestions.

Welcome to the family. You're not too far from me- Jacksonville FL. Keep us up to date on your mods and such. As far as suggestions on what to do, I reccomend taking some time and look through the members beetle section. Better yet, look on the homepage and check out the 'popular photos'. That should give you a little flavor of all mods that have been done. The window tint is a good start. It'll give your beetle a really nice look.
Just a quick hit on some of the popular cosmetic mods. Color match paint your door grab handles Color match paint your center console Monster mats- saved my carpet many times  Clear corners lights. Just a few for ya. Again keep us posted.

I call her the Plum Monster, but then I get a nasty look from the wife.
I detailed her today and of course the first time in weeks, it decides to rain right after I've dried her off. I'm definitely getting the clear corners and the mats soon. Thanks for the advice.

Is the shift boot in good condition? I had someone (through this forum) make a custom shift boot for my car. It's even better than the original that was cracking and peeling...
I got mine in black with red top-stitching to match the dash and gauges...

Welcome to the Org! As a fellow Batik Blue owner, you have to love the purple base coat, sometimes I'm amazed by how purple( or plum) it looks! other times its deep blue. Enjoy!

Hello from Warner Robins & welcome.... Ya know... I think that I started something down here 'cuz when I arrived last year there were hardly any NBs on the road but now they're everywhere!!! Almost enuff to start our own chapter. If you see a red one with a ragtop flying around in town, that's me.
