New '02 turbo S owner in SoCal

Hi everyone. Yesterday, i went and traded my nissan pickup truck in for an 02 new beetle turbo S. i wanted a lightweight, good handling car that pulls hard and gets good gas mileage- and it had to be less expensive than my truck payments at the time. i normally ride a suzuki bandit 1200 (a naked crotch rocket) so it takes a lot for a car's performance to impress me. i test drove pretty much all the new 07-08 compact cars that sell for $15000 or less- they all suck, BTW- and i ended up test driving the beetle at a nissan stealership and i was sold.

i'm very happy with the car so far, and i have had a few turbocharged cars in the past that i have worked on, so if i get bored with it there are always some options there. i'm probably going to leave it alone, though, as one of the reasons i wanted a less expensive vehicle is so i can afford a new GSX-R750 at the beginning of the year so i can start doing track days.

anyway, sory for the long post. i live in lake forest, socal, so if you see a black turbo S running around say hi.
