Arrow hi from virginia beach!

Hey everyone! i just found out about this site today, and i thought i would join as i just got a beetle...so please excuse my awkwardness, i don't exactly know what to put here. My name's jessie and i am a college student...loving every minute of it! My hobbies are drawing/painting, listening to indie/alternative rock (favorite band is the strokes), and reading.
I've always wanted a beetle since i was a kid, so my parents got me a 2003 gls this past weekend. i haven't seen it yet but spring break starts soon so i'll finally get to drive it on friday when i go back to the beach and i really can't wait!
does anyone have any comments or advice on the beetle i have? i know nothing about the model of my beetle (if its reliable, a good car, etc), so if you have one like it, i would love to hear your stories.
thanks for taking the time to read this, and i can't wait to get to know everyone!

Welcome! (S)he's beautiful...I love that yellow.

When I first signed on here, I had no idea people named their cars. I thought it was a bit odd and thought it was odder when people told me that the car would tell me what name he/she wanted. However, the more I got to "know" the car, the more I found it really had a personality and I finally started to understand. I searched and searched for a name to no avail...and finally found one I wasn't sure of. No sooner did I think of this name...I drove by a street with the same name. So, yeah, they sort of name themselves. I wouldn't rush it.

Congrats on your new baby!
