New Chicagoland member!
Hey guys, just wanted to say hey! Just recently purchased an 03 1.8t new beetle. But have been a long time VW enthusiast, but mostly stuck to the aircooled. Currently I also have a 1972 Super Beetle.

Hi And welcome!! Nice cars! That 73 is sweet! So where in the vast Chicagoland area are you from? That warehouse looks like one down near 55 & Weber Rd.(I drive past that way alot going to work)
DOH! I just looked at your info & it says Elgin  Where abouts? I go out west on 88 & 90 alot too.

I essentially live near IL Rt. 25 and I 90, about 15 minutes from woodfield mall.

Cool, I live north of Arlington racetrack. One of these days when Erin comes in from Iowa we should all get together. Do you bring your 73 to the shows? Here's a link to NIVA in case you didn't know about it.

I haven't attended any shows that cater mostly towards watercooled VWs, as I just recently began driving them
 (my watercooled love affair began with an 84 Scirocco). I do regularly attend VW swap meets, such as the one last saturday in DuPage.Anywho, I'm definitely interested in going to some shows/meets. -Tim
