You don't worry about these people that are teasing you. They are probably just jealous because they don't own a New Beetle. I have a harvest moon, but not a convertible and I love it. I have only owned it a little over a month and I can't imagine ever driving anything but it. If you love your new beetle then don't worry about what all of yours friends say. If the truth were known they are just jealous.

I don't think they're effeminate. I think they're practical, sophisticated, fun and in good taste. Because of the MPGs they're more economical AND ecological.

There's also something sexy about them. So, yeah, sounds like jealous and the inability to march to a different anti-SUV drummer.
