Talking New Bug From Georgia

Hey! My name is Paige and I turned 16 a few months ago. My mom and I have been on the search for a bug to drive to and from school/band practice. We finally found and got one!

She's a 1998 White VW Beetle named Sadiebug (Sadie for short). She has about 63k miles on her and runs really well. Her only issues are one of the fog lights is broken, there is a small ding in the driver's side door, and the panel under the window is a tad scratched. Overall, she looks great for being 10 years old.

No pictures yet though. It's raining and I just picked her up today.

Welcome Paige and Sadie It's good to have you all here. Moms is pretty cool to hook you up with a beetle. Keep in touch with us. You'll find plenty of useful information on keeping your Sadie running silky smooth; so don't be a stranger.

I like the way you think. You had pictures in mind when you posted this thread.... We love the pics. So when it stops raining (we're getting a lot of it here in Jacksonville too), snap a photo or two and let us take a peek

Again welcome

Here we go. Got some pictures today. Been a rather hot day in my small town!

I got 2 questions as well. I had been locking her up on the driver's side and she would beep and the alarm would start flashing. Well, someone was looking at the car and I just locked her up from the passenger's side because I was being lazy. Now she won't beep/engage the alarm unless I lock her from the passengers. Is there any way to "reset" that? I hate having to walk around every time I get out of her.

The other question is that you know how dealers sometimes put stupid stickers on cars? Mine has one and I want to get it off. I don't want to take the paint off with the sticker though. Any tips about removing stupid, unwanted stickers?

Also, Thanks for all the welcomes.
(Please ignore how dirty she is! I'll get around to washing her soon)

(Note the sticker)

(You can see the small ding in the door here. Not too bad)

Welcome to the Org Paige and Sadiebug she sure is a beauty...there is an electromagnetic thing that can take out dings but you might want a pro to do it so nothing gets ruined...hope you have fun with her

To remove the sticker have you tried softening it with a hair dryer and then trying to peel it off slowly?
You could also try moistening (soaking) with some automotive bug and tar remover; I've had good luck with this approach.

She is very pretty Paige, and you look great together! Sorry I don't have any tips to offer, but I am a newbie also. Don't you just love driving her?

I'll need to try that.

Yes. I bought the glasses just to match her.

Reidsville is about an hour and 15 minutes away from Savannah.

Okay. The company I work for has a branch in Vidalia. So you're roughly about 2 hours away from Jacksonville.
