Default My New 2002 Sport

This is my first VW. It is a 2002 Sport, black/black, 56K miles. I purchased it 8/23/08 and have been enjoying it ever since. I have been searching for different mods to do and will be here a lot. Just wanted to say Hi. Here are some pics if I did everything correctly.

From one black sport owner to another-
Welcome!
A little advise goes a long way:
get the timing belt, water pump and tensioner changed as soon as you can if you haven't already!

Sweet ride and welcome to the '02 Sport Club. I bought mine new in '02 and have the extended waranty, so it doesn't run out until September '09. When it does... I have researched some promising tweaks on a web site dedicated to the 1.8T engine that are basically bolt ons from an Audi TT spec 1.8T, which involves going up one size in the turbo, reflashing the ROM and some mother minor tweeks, which are claimed to pump it up to 270 hp. All for about $1,400. I put some Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions on a year ago and they made a major improvement in the handling and the ride. What is amazing is those suckers do awesome in the Indiana ice & snow too.

Is there a difference between the sport model & the turbo s??? I have never seen a NB with the "sport" script on the hatch;just the "turbo" & "turbo s" tags.....hmmm....confused....

Sports are rated at the same 150HP as regular turbo models. They have specfic color matched Take5 wheels and sport seats vs
standard leather seats and sunroofs. Sport tuned suspension too if I recall
