My car is Chiltepin from a Mexican Spanish word (from Aztec/Nahuatl chiltecpin) for a tiny, round, red wild chile, of which you can see a photo in the dried form on FineExample's gardening thread. Or was it the cooking thread? Anyway, my car is salsa red, small, round, and spicy, so it fit.

Its predecessor, Zeke, a dark-red Jetta, was named for Zeke Wolf, the Big Bad Wolf of cartoons. Both Zeke Wolf and Laurence Olivier's conception of Richard III were influenced by an unloved producer called Jed Harris. Also refers to the family name.

Zeke's predecessor never got a name besides Camry.

Bizzle... Me and my friends call hot girls, good food, etc., bizzle or bizzles. When we left the dealership, I looked over at my girlfriend and said, "Look at my little Bizzle." Then when I turned on the radio she said "The Bizzle's got bump!" It stuck ever since.

Well mine is named Barry but his life with me is to be short lived. Only had him since last summer but I need something that seats five and still gets at least 20mpg in the city. I posted him in the classifieds of this forum if anyone is interested. He is a Limited Edition Color Concept uni-red.

I just love reading all the names, please keep them coming.

I honestly thought this thread would have taken off a little better since most people do have a name for their NB.

Oh well, still nice to see it pick up again

blue/black/black 2003 GLS 'vert (is it royal navy pearl or galactic? who knows)
year: 2003
birth date: february 14, 2003 (a love bug! really!) i purchased one month ago today, february 13, 2009. friday the 13th, eek.
gender: boy
name: chavo guerrero, the mexican warrior.

story behind name: my best friend has an audi TT roadster S line, her name is zsa zsa, because she was made in hungary, and zsa zsa gabor is the most fabulous hungarian ever. so when i got the beetle i said we need to come up with a mexican name, since he was made in mexico. we went through a bunch that were either awkward or just didn't fit, and finally we thought of wrestlers, and what's better than a mexican warrior? the name chavo was born, more affectionately referred to as mi amigo chavito. not to mention chavo guerrero has the most awesome entrance music ever... OOOH, CHAVO!

past car names...

1992 jetta: the deuce
2007 rabbit: rabbirto (rabs, bun bun, buns)
1997 golf: golfredo (golfy)
1997 jetta GLX: the screaming yeti
1988 fox: peanut
