Ok... When it was my mother in laws, she call it T-lily..
My father bought it from her and dubbed his new veedub the tigerbug. It's going to stick.

After much thought and waffling I think I have come up with the perfect name for my 98 NB
Frauke!! Maybe a better name for a man's bug than a woman's but hey in this day and age a woman can have her own mistress or little lady if she wants! lol |

So this is a fun thread and story...
My first Beetle was a 73 Super, and I named her Juney for June Bug, around her birthdate. My second Beetle was purchased in April, oddly enough the same month he was born, and assuming all new cars were female I named the car April. That lasted all of two months, because, every time I'd talk about my car while driving and say April... it'd stall out. Finally I realized the car was male, and named him Charlie. I miss him. My second NB was a 98 2.0, and its owner said the car was certainly male but never had a name. Just called him baby boy. I named him Marley, and his new owner renamed him Buckwheat. My third NB is a 98 TDI... and again I felt it was female and named it Peaches (cause she's a Peach of Car!) Several people told me "this car feels male." and finally a close friend of mine, after I put the white hood on (cause the washer nozzles entirely gave out on the oem black hood, and it was easier to just put anew hood on with working nozzles...) said "This is a patchwork bug" and I said "You just named my car Patches." Patches he is. I never named my Jetta.
