Well just picked my wife up a 99 beetle $4200 from her friend. 105k miles, just got everything replaced and tuned on it. Well maintained car! I never thought much until driving one. I think it'd be a fun car to modify, but my wife won't let me touch hers

So far I've replaced the shifter boot nothing to big. I figure maybe after I'm done with nursing school I can possibly do more. I got my own toys to tend with so I guess I'll keep on those. Only nabbed one shot.

All and all I've taught her how to drive manual on it, she was really discouraged at first and pretty much threw the keys at me. She's got it down now

thanks for the welcome. I keep eye balling her car, thinking of things to do. How far can you take the turbo's power wise? I'll be scanning the boards if I might have to do up another project when I'm through with school.

Well the stock Turbos run 150 horse. With a few wise upgrades (downpipe, bigger intake with better flow, injectors, exhaust, and a ECU upgrade) it can be pushed to like 250-300 horse? Oh, and don't forget a bigger intercooler, and fuel management.

Currently besides "appearance" upgrades on mine the only real mechanical upgrade was my Stage 1 clutch that I put in recently. Very nice.

And the turbos go like a Bat out of hell man

I went from the 2.0 to the 1.8T and I was like WHEEEEEEeeeeeeeee all the way home on my 6 hour drive from where I picked up the car.

Very nice bug man. And welcome to the org family.

They're fun cars indeed and fun to mod as well- you'll have a hoot i'm sure. Keep the pics coming and don't be a stranger.

Where are you from by the way? I see snow in the pic, but you didn't fill out your stats, so i'm wondering from what snowy region are you from?

Again, welcome.

Michigan around the Grand Rapids area

I like the pics! that's actually quite a bit for a car that size 250-300 HP would make it zip! I know my fiero takes grief, but little do people know it's packing a bite underneath

I'll keep the pics coming when it warms up. I'll be floating around more. I've got to put my focus on nursing school at this point

The Fiero was actually a cool car. Sadly, they finally got it right with the model you have- the Formula; shortly after that, the Fiero reached it's end.

I've always liked them, but they're not too friendly for this 6'2" dude

And your Fiero is a sweet looking ride.... very nice
