Default 1998 silver immaculate with black interior

Hey, my wife and I fell in love with a 1998 silver beetle with 60000 miles for $7400. All leather interior, new tires, not a scratch. I'd like to know if this is a fair deal, and if these cars run as good as they look, and if they are dependable. It has no CD player, but everthing else except sunroof. Thank you for any help.

60k on a 98? Not bad. Depending on the history of the car so far as repairs go and regular maintenance, and assuming they meet the minimum, that sounds like a killer deal. Plus, that's a first year Beetle. Get that carfax and have it checked out. If all's well, buy it up.

I have a 2000 GLS that had 72,000 when I bought it, has all the options. Paid $8,000.

Sounds reasonable if it's up to snuff on maintenance.

I paid $7,600 for my '98 this past September. It had 62,000 miles on it and had everything but the sunroof. Deal sounds good!
