Default a fng with a nb from WV

so i recently acquired a 98 new beetle from my brother who needed to free up the driveway a bit... i'm restoring a 70 beetle convertible, its getting a corvair 2700 flat 6. ground up restoration as well. also building a 62 impala 2dr ht. i am NOT a purist by any means, i am a Volksrodder...

it needs some love to return it to its former glory, a bodykit, paint, engine work... but its gonna be nice. pics posting sometime soon..

Hi!

Welcome to the org!

Post some pics, when it is possible...

I am interested in your Bug-project, with that Corvair-engine

i'm in Wheeling, and a native of the Charleston area.

the Corvair engine was a freebie after some trading around. a Porsche flat 6 would probably cost more to redo the 6 carbs than this whole engine. Tore down only to find just one broken ring, probably carelessness from when it was rebuilt. The vair engine is already reverse rotation cammed and has the Clark adapter. one ring, cleaning and assembly, and a hot clutch setup will give it some life soon. i'll link the build thread here:

LayItLow.com Forums -> My 1970 VW Beetle Cabriolet build

and the 62 impala here :
LayItLow.com Forums -> 62 impala reborn! well, started into it....
